Retail stores - left coast
« on: February 06, 2010, 05:56:23 PM »
I'm looking for shaving oil and haven't been able to find a retail store that carries it.  Anyone out on the west coast know of a retail outlet where you can find it?   I've tried the usual -- Walgreens, Target, RiteAid, Albertsons, Safeway -- but no luck.

This isn't a direct answer to your question, but an alternate way around it.
I don't live on the left coast so I don't know the availability.

I don't buy shaving oil, but I put an undercoat of olive oil(just a few drops rubbed in), then top it off with some shave gel.  I started adding some conditioner to the oil (mixed in a travel liquid case in my shower) to thicken it up a bit.
Works like a charm.  In the past I have also used baby oil as an undercoat, but I prefer the olive oil.

WalMart carries Shave Secret.  They're pretty much national I think.

You may find King of Shave's shaving oil at CVS, if you're lucky. Also try Target as well.
Walmart should have Shave Secret, like saint said.
As far as Pacific shaving oil, I've never seen it in any store, so you will probably have to go the online route.

Walmart has Shave Secret and Whole Foods occasionally has Pacific Shaving Oil.

Every Whole Foods I've been to has had PSO in stock, it has become that popluar ( that's what the hippie lady that works in the health and beauty section told me )

If you go to Pacific's website they have a retail locator that will tell you what stores carry PSO. I know that Bed, Bath and Beyond carries their stuff at a lot of their stores.

I've seen King of Shaves at Save Mart (Lucky's).
