Can somebody tell me when this World Cup stuff will stop interrupting my sports highlights? Thankfully, college football and the NFL will be starting up real soon and we'll have something to discuss on a daily basis.

Sure it ain't exactly 'Merican to love soccer, but it's a great excuse to drink early in the day!

I played soccer into High school and again post college (our HS didn't have a soccer team). I coached for several years and love the game. That being said, I'd much rather play than watch. In my opinion, soccer will never catch on in the US.

Agonizing over what cannot be is an insult to what is.

The best atheletes America has to offer are usually dedicated to 1 or more of the big 3 sports. Until that changes soccer doesn't have a chance of making it to prime time.
