I know that for many sly guys here, many of you will encourage people to shave if they are losing their hair. I would call that "Headshaving Evangelism". This is kind of similar to Christians who tell others about their faith in Christ.
Well, the other day I kind of mixed the "Headshaving Evangelism" with Evangelical Christianity. On the Wesnesday before New Years, I was listening to a Christian music station and the morning show hosts were doing something called, "Wacky Wednesday" That day, the call in question was, "What wacky resolution are you doing or should other people do?" So I call in and got on the air. I said, "I have already done this resolution. But if you are losing hair like I have been, then you should say no to rugs, plugs and drugs and shave your head!" The female host laughed and loved the part where I mentioned "rugs, drugs or plugs". The male host who I don't think is going bald still made a questionable sound on the radio when I mentioned about headshaving. But who knows, I am hoping that I inspired listeners all over Northwest Washington and Southwestern British Columbia to shave their heads. In fact, I think their station's website actually features a woman and her husband or boyfriend who has a shaved head. The website is:
www.praise1065.com . So what are your "Headshaving Evangelism" stories?
Very nice story Marsh! Way to spread the word.
As chair of Evangelism for my church, this topic caught my attention immediately!
I think it's great.
I look at everybody since I became completely shaved - -SLY - - -and to see some of these guys with a few strands of hair - - - - I have come to the realization that - -guys who have BALD spots and thin hair should SHAVE - - -They sure would look better and even "good looking" if they shaved their heads - - - -if some of them would only look at themselves -in the mirror - - -
Cool, Marsh. But since most of us don't get the opportunity to broadcast the message over the airways, the best way to spread the "Sly Gospel" is to keep your head shaved and held high at all times, so it can be a shining (pun intended) example to those who have yet to take the plunge.
