King of Shaves - Azor
« on: September 04, 2008, 01:34:51 PM »
It's made in the UK so I'm already drawn to this razor.

A novel design that took me a couple of goes to get used to.  The angle of the head on the body is a bit strange at first but after a few goes feels very natural.
The blades are flexible so follow the contours and bumps on your head well.  My previous favourite, the Wilkinson Sword (or Shick) Xtreme 3 was similar in this respect.

The handle is flexible.  This means it's hard(er) to put too much pressure on and cut yourself (apparently).

Generally easy to get on with, and over the course of 4 weeks I hadn't managed more that a small nick.  This morning I managed to take a big chunk of skin off behind my ear and right at the front of my head. I must have been having an off day.

I like it a lot and this looks likely to be my weapon of choice for the foreseeable future.
Not available in the US unless you happen to know a Brit that is willing to ship one over for you to try (favourable terms can be arranged - send me a pm).

Hey, what's that funky looking white razor to the right there and where did that come from?

I want to bring this back from the dead.

I just found this razor today [online] and I want to know if you're still using it. I'm very intrigued by it, I want one.

I've seen this blade in the shops and have seriously thought about giving it a go, but i want to know if it's worth it. 8)

I was reading reviews online and they are not good. The biggest complaint seems to be uneven shave and cuts.

i bought one 6 months back. it looked cool and it was fairly cheap so i gave a go......BIG mistake, the worst shave i have ever had.
razor burn, cuts and an uneven shave. i threw straight in the bin. jmo.
