I've been using the M5 since September and I'm a big fan of the razor. I know some guys have had trouble with the trimmer blade nicking them. This hasn't been an issue for me at all and I had never had a bad encounter with the trimmer blade..... until Christmas Eve. I was all done shaving and was taking the last trim swipe around my left ear when...... DINK! I nicked myself with the trimmer blade.
No real reason for posting this...... I just liked the title of the thread that I came up with and wanted to use it!!!!

And NO... you can't get back the time you wasted reading this.............
I heard they were going to change the design...
LOL!!
Just FYI: I went back to my Fusion. Couldn't deal with it anymore.
I always cut myself with the M5 - - -so I went back to the Schick Xtreme 3 - - I get 22 for $18.00 at Sam's Club and I use one 4-5 times
Well I'm not the most coordinated guy in the group, but I've finally controlled the nick on the ear bit, knock wood. I was having trouble finding blades at the WalMart, but last Saturday as I was facing going to Fusion backup I got some. The packs had "New" on them, maybe they're the new ones. But, now I need to get a supplier of liquid styptic--great stuff. The bottle I have is years and I mean many years old, and I don't have enough for another two or three months. It seems ridiculous to have to mail order for a product that costs less than $3.
I just use mine for shaving the face. I was constantly nicking the back of my head with it so I demoted it to face shaves.l
I love the M5. New on the package denotes the change in blade configuration (I think) Ihaven't nicked my ear or my head since I've been using it.
I think it might have been the trimmer that started a little bleed on the outer edge of my ear New Year's Day. My wife asked if I'd started shaving my ears too.

Some men have to ...
Or use a bead of Nair around the hairy ridge every couple of weeks, like I do.
