Out of the Mouth of a 3 year old
« on: December 13, 2009, 03:47:40 PM »
My 3 1/2 year old daughter went to a "Brunch with Santa" today.   I asked her what she was going to ask Santa for and she thought about it for a minute or two and then said "daddy I'm going to ask Santa to bring some you hair".   (I just went sly about a week ago).  I didn't have the heart to tell her that I've been down that path and just smiled and said "that's so nice Emma for thinking about me".    Out of the mouth of a 3 1/2 year old.   Got to love it.

Awesome! A couple of years ago when my son was very young he looked at my mother and very of matter factly said, "Grandma, you're fat". She laughed like crazy!

You have to give it to kids!  They are too young to know when to bite their tongues.  But no matter what comes out, as brutally honest as it maybe it's always funny.

Art Linkletter (1912 - ?) once said. "The two best interview subjects are children under 10 and people over 70 for the same reason: they say the first thing that comes to their mind. The children don't know what they're saying and the old folks don't care."

Can anyone believe that Art is still on this side of the earth. I'm sure that many of the members here have no idea who he is,but, at 97 years old, his humor still works and is so correct.

Tis better to have a bald head than no head at all.

My sister once commented to my niece that her hair grew so quickly they could donate it to Locks of Love.  My niece, who was five or so at the time, had to ask what Locks of Love is.

"It's for making wigs for people who don't have hair," my sister explained.

"Like Uncle Brian?" my niece asked.

Of course my sister was all too happy to tell me this story...
