I had a cup of a Kona coffee blend along with one of my wife's homemade Lemon Cheese Squares.
The last of our company left a few minutes ago.....great Family Day!

Lunch at 1:00 PM ... carried a huge pan of Mac and Cheese (recipe compliments of the Deen Brothers newest cookbook). Came home and fell asleep on the couch.

Well after the main dinner I had some pecan pie with some whipped cream, all homemade of course. Then finished it off with a nice glass of wine (holiday tradition). Now I am going to bed so I can get to all those door buster sales in the morning before I head to work at 8.

We hosted Thanksgiving for my family this year. This year went smoother than years past, somehow. My wife has been going non-stop for 3 days preparing, but she seems to love it. If it were up to me, I'd host Thanksgiving every once in a while but not every year.
We're both so tired and sore we can barely walk .... Off to bed.

I used to date a girl from Scotland and she would make me shortbread. That stuff is incredible!

Wife wanted to watch figure skating so I went next door to my neighbors, whose has an awesome surround sound, and watched the Dallas/Oakland game. I don't drink alot anymore but did indulge in a couple of vodka and cranberry juice drinks.

Came back from dinner at relatives' house, watched the movie, An Affair to Remember, a gift for my wife's birthday the 25th of the month, then the end of Mama Mia, then more food including the end of a chocolate birthday cake, and watched the Texas-A&M game--then deep sleep Hook Em Horns! Now, who's got the best remedy for 4 extra pounds, who's got it.
But now we look forward to the Saints/Patriots game--a heart pounder for the Who Dat Nation. Go Saints

After having Thanksgiving Dinner with my girlfriends Dads family, we went across town to her Moms place for dinner with her family (they've been divorced more than 20 years now). SO Thanksgiving was kind of a giant sampler buffet of many many MANY lovely dishes. Then AFTER the SECOND thanksgiving dinner it was home for a quiet glass of wine and some alone time and decompressing.
All in all a good day.

After I served my turkey dinner, dessert was one of two pies: a Chocolate Pecan Pie, or a French Silk Pie. Served with coffee (Tanzanian beans).
Both pies came out really well; I was pleased.
