Thanks to all of you guys. The responses in this thread are a perfect example of why SBG is such a special place with so many incredible Men as members. My wife and I needed this today guys.... we both thank you from our hearts.
Here's an update for you:
Cheryl is tough as nails but when she called me this AM I could tell she was scared. She headed to the emergency room while I waited for her call once she talked to the doctors. She called and I immediately knew I had to head out by the sound of her voice.
It's 90 minutes to the hospital in Gettysburg from my work and by the time I arrived there it had been determined that McKenna had a severe case of facial cellulitus. Apparently she was bitten by something, probably a spider, on her chin. SHe never had a virus over the weekend.... the fever and vomiting were symptoms of this.
The swelling and redness on her chin had spread over her entire left side of her face, her chin, all the way up to and near her eye.
The hospital immediately pumped her full of antibiotics and within two hours the redness and swelling had backed down to her mouth and she was feeling incredibly better. We have to take her back to the hospital in the AM for another round of antibiotics but by the weekend she should be back to 100%.
Again, my Friends ....... Thank you from all of us.

I'm glad to hear things are getting better, but what the heck was it? I saw the red spot and thought chicken pox, but chicken pox doesn't bring all that other stuff does it? And it makes spots all over too...

Glad to hear things are better; spider bites can be nasty.

Good new Koz! We'll keep the prayers going for McKenna though. It's strange that she didn't have any viral symptoms. Cellulitis can lead to some pretty nasty stuff.
We wish her a speedy recovery.

She was throwing up and had a fever for a few days. I believe we were literally just an hour or so away from a real problem. If that had reached her eye...........
