First off I would like to say how refreshing and helpful it has been reading the various postings on this site. You all sound like great people with great attitudes about not only hair, but life in general.

In my first post about a year ago talked about my challenges with MPB and how it has affected my life.  Since then things have only gotten worse. I have been dealing with anxiety and depression for many years in my life and lately things have come to head. Life has become a constant struggle for me. When I go out in public or with others if feels like I must put on a performance just to disguise the person on the inside.

My problem has crossed over into my battle with MPB. I have been losing my hair for several years and it has really eaten away at me. I have always taken pride in my appearance and how I present myself to others because I have such an irrational fear of what others think.  I recently decided to buzz my head to a #1 guard as a means to an end; however that has made things only worse. I look at my head and see myself slipping away along with hair. I don't recognize myself anymore and think I just look terrible the way my hair is now.  My hair loss has been magnified due to anxiety problems and my day to day struggles just to get along have become increasing difficult. Thanks for listening. The men on the forum are truly an inspiration and I hope I too can stand with you one day.

You posted here a year ago and things have only gotten worse.  I applaud you for taking the step to buzz your hair, but if you've been reading the posts, then you know that in order to stand with us one day, you need to take that final step!  Go shave it!

You've tried your ways for a year.  It's now time to try the tried and true method.  The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.  Shave it and keep shaving it for 30 days.  This WILL help you.  Start the process today!

I've said it before and I'll say it again (and maybe get it put on a fortune cookie for wider distribution):

If you are MPB, that's what the Universe has allotted you.  Take this as a gift.  Anyone can have thinning hair; only the bold go bald*.

*SLY, that is.  Down with the fading fore-fringe, the clearing-in-the-wilderness vertex, the horseshoe hair-dregs.  Skin is in!

Freedom and confidence are a razor and 30 minutes away. Think about it...... 30 minutes to change your life for the better....forever.
