we had our UK summer this weekend: but now its gone back to normal!!
Ready for the two week grass cut! Global warming is really making my grass grow!!
HOLY CRAP :: It`s HOT outside ! ! !
Today was hot here too; but a front moved in and it's getting cooler!
I`m heading outside to shovel " 17 inches " of snow . .
Yes : With a shovel . . Snowblower is buried under a snowdrift somewhere . .
Vell, Sven, I been tinkin too. You know if we lived where it didn't snow, den we wouldn't have to shovel so much!

Today was a balmy 65 degrees (maybe 66) and a few thin high level clouds. I have a 3 year old snowblower that gets used about once or twice every few years, usually in March or April during the "wet" season. My snow blower looks brand new! I think we're due (overdue) for some late season "climate change". Maybe this winter...

I looked on-line at the temps for Chicago and Minneapolis-YIKES! I think it said the high for tomorrow in Minneapolis will be about 12 above zero!
12 degrees is t-shirt weather for us sly tough guys up north . !
And the rescue team that found your cold frozen body would probably ask themselves why was this guy out in just a T-shirt....LOL.
Gonna be wet out here in NorCal for the next week or so.
We are WAY above normal rain & snow levels and it has been below normal temps .... yep, sounds like Global Warming to me.

Speak for yourself!
I live in New England, and just cannot function when it's below 50 degrees.
(So why I'm still living in New England? A good question indeed!)

I've lived in the Chicago area for 8+ years, and I will never get used to that kind of cold. Ever.
Luckily it has warmed up a bit today (17 degrees! Balmy!), although that's not quite warm enough to wash the copious amounts of road salt off of my car. It's weather like this that really make me miss the southeast ....
Down state Illinois here. Cold, and Windy, where you see the same snow 2 or 3 times very often. No snow fences from the (broke) State of Illinois. So many roads can't even be seen when the wind is blowing, but the sun and blue sky can be seen above. But they can find the $$ to pay the over time to the persons that drive those snowplows. They were out, in force, this last Sunday. And the troopers, sheriff's deputy's, all have to be out there, in it.
But February comes, Warm sun, warm sand, Cold beer, tank tops and shorts. Just a perfect time not to be in Illinois.

After 40 New England winters, I didn't want a 41st, so that's when I moved down here to central TX.
But to be honest, it's not the cold I was fleeing from -- I could care less how cold it got -- it was the snow.
I could never move back to the Snow Belt now.
Yeah, I was raised in the NorthEast, and it's a nice place to be FROM!

Today it was in the low 60's here, but tomorrow it's only going to get to about 50 or so before a front moves in. Estimates are 3-6 inches of the fuzzy white stuff.

It will probably all melt by the middle of next week, and I'll be in shirt sleeves for my mid=day stroll.
