hello fellow chrome domes:
1st of all i want 2 thank ryan mcgarry aka "notorious r-mc"... 4 posting up his awesome review of Personna's Magnum 5 razor. ever since, i discovered his review; i officially retired my trusty gillette fusion. as most of U know, i am an avid fan of the gillette fusion until i found the magnum5 razor.
all i gotta say is..."wow" that is one helluva smooooooth head shave.

it definitely beats the fusion.

it also beats the fusion in price. U can get a 4 pack refill for only $5.88 @ walmart in beautiful pensacola. most importantly my new favorite razor is born and made in the GOOD OLE U-S-A.

i love this razor so much that i e-mailed (last week) the PERSONNA Company to let them know how much i truly love their product. i also received (today) a complimentary 4-pack magnum5 refill cartridges and a $3 off coupon on the magnum5 cartridges. now that is what U call...."customer service".
after receiving the gift, i emailed them a "thank you" message and i also mentioned 2 them about
www.slybaldguys.com. i told them about our special fraternity and that several of us have officially became fans of their product.
if U haven't tried this razor... U don't know what U R missing. the magnum5 razor is officially my favorite razor. so... how 'bout U? have U tried it out? if so... what's your story?

I'm all for saving some money Hawkman. If this razor works as good as you say, and I know you were a fusion devotee, I will pick one up tomorrow.
It's good to see someone give Gillette a run for the money.
I'm already of fan of the Personna Auto plus blades, and use them on my Atra and my HeadBlade.
Thanks for the great info Hawk.

I emailed Personna a little "Thank You" for providing such a great razor at a price that everyone can afford.
I actually received a personal response from their marketing department thanking me for giving my opinion on the M5. They also are sending me a free pack of razors and a $3 off coupon for my next M5 purchase.
A great, affordable product and great customer service. America lives!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like I'm going to have to add Personna to my correspondence list. I'm concerned it's not getting more shelf space--although I liked Fusion and would go back if M5 somehow doesn't make it, I totally sold. It's the first time that I really can say I've debated whether I really need to shave the next day--it's that good.

I've seen a new blade and 16 cartridges at BJ's Club for 17.99
That's way better than Wally World.
I'm happy (very) with my Rolling Razor though so I didn't bite.

It's Warhawk's fault, I have officially retired my Fusion. Of course he is right. Great shave. And the cost doesn't hurt either.
Thanks Warhawk!

Interesting pricing. Today I had to go buy some travel size supplies, so I also went by the shaving section--what else?

There was the m5 and blades at $5.88, it was Wal-Mart in Jefferson Parish, near my health club. Last weekend I went to the Wal-Mart in New Orleans near the Warehouse District--where the famous "shoot out" occurred in the aftermath of Katrina. Price there $6.22! Go figure.
Caution--I found some boxes of contact solution for soft contacts advertised as "Airline Acceptable" when the contents were above 3 ounces--the limit is 3, and the only "acceptable" bottles were 2 oz.

Also, some balms etc., also exceed the limit. In one airport last spring, the sign at the luggage check-in said carryon was limited to 3.4 oz, but at the security checking the sign said 3 oz. I wish everyone would get on the same page.
