I want to shave my head, but I have a few hangups...

This thread is ancient, but I wanted to thank everyone for their help here.  I shaved my head about 2 weeks after making this post, and you guys definitely helped me take the plunge.

The best part about the shaved head is the confidence it gives me.  I never worry about how my hair looks or if people are going to notice that I'm balding.  It's awesome.

i guess some guys added comments before reading State's  comment from two years later !    yeah; better late than never; and I'm glad you are enjoying the look (I was about to write the standard advise;  "bumps add character; use sunscreen while biking, try a tanning salon --if you must -- or 'spray-on tan ... but then saw your new posting).   It'd be great to see your before and afters ---  and; I hope you will post more often on the forum.

Ps ...   when I first started reading I though Prof. Melon was back.   He was a great contributor; It'd be great to have him back too.
