Tim Armstrong

Tim Armstrong of Operation Ivy, Rancid and most recently a solo artists, he is sly even though is is never without a hat. Bay Area legend and all around anti-hero.

If you are into the clash style punk / ska type of music, I would recommend his latest release A Poets Life... good stuff.

Tim is one of the few left-handed guitar players too. He actually released A Poets Life for free online to download when it first came out.

During his Rancid times, I was actually more partial to Lars Fredericksons vocals but Tim Armstrong has been a great influence and inspiration in my musical persuits.

Yeah, the whole thing was free and he now has videos for each song up.

I can see where Lars is more appealing as a singer, Tim seems to sound lie he is either drunk or has marbles in his mouth but I think its pretty fitting most of the time.
