I got it done, went to Walmart and it was $10. It should be healed up by Halloween so I can put in a hoop. It started when my cousin couldnt find the earring he thought he had that he was going to use to pierce it. We went to Walmart to get an earring and the lady asked if I even had it pierced, I told her I didnt. She said if I paid for the stud she would do it free. She put it in a little hole punch gun looking thing and did it before I even realized it. It hurt for all of 5 seconds then I didnt even notice it. I got some cleaner to put on it twice a day.

I think we are all heaving a sigh of relief that you didn't do it yourself.

Remove the piercing stud once every two or three days.  Coat the post in Neosporin.  Replace.  It will heal MUCH faster.

When I had mine pierced, by a friend, and then just a few days later, the second one pierced by my wife, who hadn't ever done one before, nor since,  I was told to use Triple Anti Biotic Ointment, (Neosporin, for those that want a name brand), regularly, and 'turn the earring(s) regularly, to keep the hole from trying to close.  So playing with it, when it is new, apparently, was a good thing.  I still have both, and they don't look too shabby, if I say so myself.

Although I didn't have them in when I took my pic for my profile, I have an earring on my left ear lobe and my left cartilage near the top of my ear. When I had mine done, I just used the cleaning stuff they gave me when I had it done.

I don't know what defines a generation, but I'm with you Sarge.
Mike, I'm hoping you're cool with your choice in ornaments.

When I was bald, I used to rock 3 piercings.  Had diamonds in both lobes and another diamond in my left cartiledge.  I've taken the cartiledge one out since, but I kept the other 2.  Piercings look good IMO.  Combined with tattoos and it's the perfect combo.

I figure if I dont want it anymore it will heal over kinda quick. When I took my lip piercing out it was there for a couple days then healed up quick, no sign of it now.
