Personally I go bananas! You do a great shave and all is well. You've felt your head and looked in the mirror to see that beautiful dome! Then!!! You happen to run your hand over you head or use a head wipe and there it is a MASSIVE missed spot!!! You can feel it now and you're convinced that everyone else can see it.
Now it's up to the individual confidence level, but it's all I can do to keep my hands off of it!!
Do I need Professional Help?? No, I'm already getting that!! :/O
Do I need to hear that others suffer the same malady??
Let me know if happens to you??
-
it happens to me also. i go as far as askin the wife if she can see it! my prob is i shave every morning , but every other day it doesnt last as long. on the good days i go till 5 in the afternoon. on the bad days lasts till noon. i dont get it. i do the same thing every time i shave :/O
-
I have to agree with you Coop. That is a strange phenomenon!!
-
i might have to look into this thing you call professional help. :*))and i have read some of your other posts and i to am hooked on buying everything for shaveing. driven the mrs. nuts but thats fun also.
-
I usually catch any misses by running my hand all over my skull after I shave.
-
i do that also but about an hour later they pop up
-
Oh, I do that very carefully but I sill sometimes, especially if I'm in a hurry, miss a little spot!! :/O :/O

HAHA! I thought this was a thread to complain about your wife/mrs.!
I miss spots all the time. It's because when your dome is still moist from the shaving cream/oil/whatever, you don't feel the stubbles as well as when it dries out. I have just excepted this as life. I am just glad I haven't nicked my self each shave!

I don't have this problem. >:D
Well, let's just say that because I shave for 50 mins there is no way I can miss a spot.
Impossible!! I love my dome. In other threads some members have wondered why it takes me 50 mins. I don't have a learning disability, it's just that razors don't glide
on my dome easily. Bald Guyz shave gel helps me with that and thanks to that product I can get it done in 50 mins.
-
That's the typical SBG OCD syndrome
-
Listen to Pig....he knows! LOL I think we all suffer from it time to time. It happens, deal with it like I do. Keep a razor in ya truck and one at work.
WHAT DRY SHAVE?? YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!
Yes I just pull out the ol razor and WHAMO! Hit that patch like it didnt know what hit it! Usually it is just like a small landing strip or something. Good Luck
-
I hate the missed spot. It's usually a thin line from not getting proper coverage with the swipes I take with the headblade. I feel like I'm a baseball with seams on it.
Yeah, you feel like the whole world is watching when in all honesty, no one give a flying frick about it.
-
Oh Shro! You've got it too!! I feel so much better!! ;D ;D

It has happened once or twice, usually when I'm in a hurry.
-
That drives me freaking bonkers! I'll end up rubbing and picking at the missed area all day.

i seem to take a while too...idk about 50 mins..more like 25 lol.
maybe its cuz we have more hair on our head then the average bald guy who are a bit older and have mainly a horseshoe to shave instead of a full head of hair with just a recieding hairline.

I know this has been asked before and I do not recall the answers we have recieved on it. When you talk about taking 50 minutes to shave your noggin, when during the process do you start to time yourself? Is it the beginning ofyou washing and preping your noggin or is it when you actually start shaving?
I always shave in the shower. I use the baldguyz head wash and I use it just after I have let my noggin "soak" under the hot water while washing myself. After the head wash, I begin shaving and it takes me a total of less than 5 minutes to shave it. Post shave, I rinse with warm water then cold. Ice cube it and add aloe. Then the "sun starts shining"! lol
-
I time myself right after doing the pre-shave. :)
It usually takes 45 to 55 mins to shave after doing the pre-shave. The razors don't glide lol. Using a shaving oil under
the shave gel/cream helps me get it done about 8 minutes faster.

SBG you keep talking about all this glide stuff. Maybe you're going too slow with the razor. Seems you could shave your head dry in less time than that.

Man, you guys got me roflmao first thing this morning!! I'm so glad to hear it's not just me!! I got it bad, I love what Bootedbear had to say, that's me!!

Around the ears is what keeps driving me crazy. I think I've got it smooth and then manage to find a little spot that eluded me.

Misses: I find them almost every time, I work out of my home so it is easy to touch up. All I Use is a disposable Gillette 2 blade and a little water. The misses are never large enough to require more than a touch up.
For those that work in offices or places of business I would suggest keeping a disposable in a desk drawer, briefcase, lunch bucket etc... and doing a water only touch up when needed.
Otherwise I would be feeling at it all day long.
Time: Shaving in the shower, and I am a beginner, takes me less than 10 minutes from putting oil on my head to laying down the blade and rinsing. Includes a few strokes on the neck and cheeks.
I can not imagine it taking me 30 minutes or even more.
If it did...
I doubt I would have gone SLY.
Seriously.
Part of the reason I grew a beard (had it now for more than 30 years) was because shaving is a pain in the rump to me. I would never have the patience to do a finely trimmed beard either.

So far, it looks like the best solution is to have the mrs. check for misses. LOL

Great one Shaved For Now!! I do ask the Mrs. often it's usually "interesting because I'm fresh out of the shower, no clothes on and she comes in and then I sit in a chair in the bathroom while she checks me out.....Ummmmm......looks at my head.....errrr! Trouble she's just as apt to miss the spots as I am!! Good suggestion though!! :*))

Every time I see the title of this thread I think misses as in the wife.
-
Funny Story: Many years ago I was at a conference. These are known for the late nights and early mornings. Bar's at night and expo booths at 6 am.
I woke up late but still wanted to shave and shower so jumped in for a quick one. Through on my clothes and ran downstairs to get to my booth 6:01 am just made it. Then one of my best buds that worked with me came up and asked if i had dirt all over my head....nope I missed an intire line that went up my scalp.
That was embarassing enough- I had to quickly ecuse myself and run back up to the hotel room and fix the miss.
Now i am more carefull and rub my head down good in the shower and then when i get out and apply lotions I make sure I got all the spots- If I have a miss I typically find it when putting on the lotions and lubes- then i just quickly take care of that spot.
-
Keep a disposable in the desk and when no one is looking.... ZAP off that missed spot!
-
Mike,
Do you have a method we could use to just, "zap off" our heads every day?? Zapping just sounds so easy!! O:O
