Brand new member saying HELLO!

Partially bald (a lot), close cropped hair, about to take the plunge.
I also have a full beard... (not styled at all just cropped modestly short) I am not sure how to deal with the sideburns into shaved head issue but I will do some searching here to see if this has been discussed.

I REALLY appreciate this group just from the 30 minutes or so of lurking I did before signing on. I am on my way out now to get a few head specific supplies.

I will set up sig files etc at a later time.

When I wear a full beard during the winter months, I stop the beard at the arm of my glasses.

If you are glasses-free, you could just do the same -- it's definitely a "statement look". I've also seen a "fade" starting at the bottom of the ears and fading to nothing by the top of the ear.

And, I've seen it trimmed to a "point", but that's a bit too severe a look for my tastes.

Post a photo so we can see what you're working with.

As a fellow sly bro, I welcome you. I also have a full beard. I cut my sideburns about 1/4inch under the top of my ear. If that makes sense.

Welcome! I just took the plunge a few days ago and I couldn't be happier! The guys here helped me gain the confidence and stop making excuses...I can't thank them enough. Best decision I could make. A lot of the anxieties I had were completely non realistic after I did it. Nothing but good people here! O0

Welcome Eric.  I'm also interested in how the beard and sly look go together best.  I had a nice thick full beard, but shaved it about a year ago (my wife hated it.)  I love it, though and want to grow it again.  I never had it with the bald head, though.  I actually grew my hair even longer, when I had the beard.

Have you seen Chris Daughtry's Sly+Beard look?  I like his music and think that he's pretty damn cool, but I'm not so sure about the sculpted beard.

Hey man. welcome to the site.  I'm a fan of the sly/beard look too and create my line at the tip of my ear (sunglasses line). My beard varies from pretty bushy, to trimmed up. I don't mind the contrast.

You have made this fella feel right at home.

I am within (most likely) 12-14 hours of doing the first full head shave down.
At this point all I have left is a fine sandpaper effect of length, it is READY for the razor.

I have a Head Blade classic with Sensor Excel blades and if needed a Sensor shaver as well.

I will say it one more time you guys do rock.
I am so glad and lucky to have found you all.
