Have any of you slys out there found a cheaper alternative to HeadBlades Head Wipes? I love usinng them but it gets expensive.. IMHO! There must be baby wipes or something out there that has wipes individualy wrapped.
-
ya those headwipes are expeeeeeeeeeeeensive! theyre like $9.00 for a small amount.
-
Yeah it's 9 bucks for a dozen of 'em! #u#T3r

Check out Bald Guyz Head Wipes, they are the tops in my opinion. They are the original and best cleanser/refresher for the scalp, and were around before anyone else got into the game.
I believe most people here prefer them as well. They leave you with a very clean and soft feel, with a great scent to boot. Very refreshing. O0

I use wetnaps, 100 for about 3 dollars at Wal-Mart.
-
Bald Guyz headwipes are plain overpriced. Sorry to report that also.
-
the walgreens around me was selling baldguyz headwipes on clearance for 1.97 for 16 wipes...i grabbed the last two boxes.
normally it's 5 bucks for 16 wipes...which is a little better than headblade wipes

I keep the wet naps everywhere. They are cheap and do the trick when I get all greasy. Keep them in the console in my car, in my desk at work too.

They're not as overpriced as the HeadBlade wipes (and I'm a big fan of HB products).
If you shop around you can get them on sale for a decent price, and you can't beat clearance, as BJR pointed out. O0

I agree... I think they work as well as the bald guyz wipes. This is one BG product that I am not sold on.

I saw wet naps (not wet-nap brand) that had witchhazel in them. I wish I had of picked them up because they were only 50 cents more. Now I can't remember where I saw them. :o

When you say wipes or wetnaps etc. are any of these products individually wrapped? If not how do you, "keep a couple handy"

I use Baldguyz headwipes, they are on the high price side.

Wetnaps are individually packaged, you can put them in your wallet, shirt/jacket pocket etc.

I use Bald Guyz head wipes, they work great.

I've tried different wipes, but nothing compares to Bald Guyz. Those wipes tighten up your pores and make your head feel incredible. Nothing compares!

Ditto on what rward said. The BaldGuyz wipes are great, especially in the summer time, keep a few in the fridge for getting rid of the heat and sweat.
-
Yep..would love to try them but the amount of wipes you get versus the price for them has kept me away....they really need to go back to the drawing board on that one..especially in this economy

That is an excellent idea, that I'm going to do!

I will have to give this a try Paul, sounds like it would be cool and refreshing in the heat of summer.
Bald Guyz are definitely tops when it comes to wipes. O0

snagged 3 boxes of the baldguyz head wipes on ebay for 8bucks. Very happy with them.

Thanks for all the input guys. I'm going to do some shopping this weekend and see what happens.

Zip Lock bags! I used to take "wet naps" with me to the Sturgis rally every year. I just put a bunch in a zip lock bag to save space. Now I buy the baby wipes with Shea Butter (I wrote about these in another thread) and I saturate the whole box with an after shave mix of witch hazel, aloe vera gel, and tea tree oil. It would be simple to put a zip lock bag with just a few of these in a briefcase, back pack, or a pocket. To err on the side of caution I always get the sandwich size "freezer" bags, they are a little thicker and the better brands have a double zip closure to prevent leaks.

Bald guys are great, I agree, but pricey. When at home witch hazel on a wash cloth or paper towel feels great, cuts through the grease and leaves my head tight and with a nice shine.

I tried using the cheaper "wet-naps", some store brand and I immediately had a bad reaction and had an itchy, red rash all over my head. I had tried using HB Wash the same time, so maybe it was one or the other, but ever since I have stopped using both. Thankfully the rash is gone, but now I have red bumps after I shave. This bums me out because I used to be totally clear and smooth. I'm trying to figure out a way to clear it all up. I'm using head and shoulders sensitive shampoo (I heard that helps clear blemishes) and not shaving against the grain. But I'm not happy with that because I'm not as smooth and hairless as I want to be.

All wipes are not created equal and you need to check the ingredients. Any alcohol other than acetyl alcohol will dry out the skin. Most moisturizers will leave a residue on the skin so the head feels greasy. Is the wipe itself paper? Is it soft or scratchy? Does it leave lint on your head after you use it? The wet naps you get at the fried chicken store are totally alcohol and will clean the head amazingly well, however they will strip the natural oils and you will feel dry. Baby Wipes are designed to protect a baby's bottom and leave a moisturizing residue to protect the skin. Do you need an antibacterial wipe for your head?
