After my headshave I apply a liberal shot of witchhazel, then rub with ice cubes and rinse with old water.

I thought you'd italicize the word liberal, Red!
I just splash some cold water.

Usually it's a warm rinse w/ cold rinse following--mainly bc I never remember to pick up any ice on the way up to the bedroom (2d floor) after the gym on the way to the shower! Oddly, I always pick up some ice in hotels to ice down. Go figure.
-
you know those hotel buckets for ice fit perfectly over the head. Just stand in the shower and dump...lol go for it

No ice on the head or in my sour mash.

Don't mean to highjack the thread, but I wanted to take the opportunity to say how nice it is to have you back and active Warhawk, no one, and I mean no one comes up with more questions for the guys that develop into interesting threads, not to mention your unique key entry style. Thanks, O0

My water right out of the tap is cold enough up here in Illinois, Mel. So no, just hold the ice, please.

on the rocks for me....i use two ice cubes to cool and soothe the dome after a shave

WarHawk, I use an ice cube rub on my dome only when the temp is 65 or above. Here in Chicago that means maybe four months out of the year. The rest of the year a cold water rinse is the way I go.

I also use an ice cube on the dome. I have found that it makes my head feel smoother.

Used ice just now. I'm not against it but it drips too much and gets my kitchen and clothes wet.
