Post by: Ftank on March 26, 2009, 06:10:24 AM: I wanted to say hello and thanks for creating this site. I am 28 years old and my hairloss is starting to pick up pretty good. It is good to be able to go some place and get some feedback and be able to talk about this hairloss thing.

At first I tried Rogaine and Propecia for about 3 months but realized I was being really stupid because I was having all these negative reactions to both drugs. Then I shaved my head and I liked it! Yet the pressure from friends and family and negative reactions caused me to grow it back. Well the hairloss has picked up again and it starting to look nasty. There is no way I am going back on the drugs so yesterday I shaved it off with no guard. I did not take the shaving cream and razor to it this time but I am super close to being bald. Again I like it. This time my goal is to try it for 3 months and then look at the situation from there. I prefer the bald look over my receding thinning hair but it is the reaction of others I need to deal with.

I am in a much better place then when I first starting losing my hair. I freaked out at first and jumped on the medicine. I researched hair transplants and wigs but I am not going to do any of that stuff. I decided it's not for me. I am thankful God has given me good health so I am determined to remain optimistic. I don't obsess about it like I did at first either. Thanks for your support and creating this site to help out men with hairloss.

I definitely do not reccomend the meds for most people. Propecia made me go insane and Rogaine made my heart feel like it was going to explode. I like myself bald and I hope to find a special woman someday who likes it too. Thanks again for all the encouragement.

I think I need to update the way I dress though lol. I guess the real test will be when I try to find a girlfriend. I am not in a rush but I would like to meet a nice girl. That would be huge for the confidence. Thanks again guys.

Just be confident that a girl should be happy to be with you and you will be shocked at how many women will approach you. Though, you truly have to believe in yourself; you can't fake this one.

Way to go on not taking the weak way out with drugs or rugs.

Don't worry so much about the girlfriend, things will fall into place. Just go forward with life and be confident, that's all it takes. O0
