Hey all, as you should be able to see from my profile pic (if I did it right) I am not yet sly. Today is Friday. The big day is this Sunday. I plan to get it buzzed with no guard, then I will put the Mach III to it. I'm a little nervous, but I think it will look great. I just joined SBG and have really enjoyed reading a few of the other posts. So hopefully on Sunday I will have a new picture to show off!

Just a thought, totally from the outer space side of my mind :D :D :D. Do you have the capability to UTube the act?--it would be cool to be able to send the link to future fencers and undecided guys O:O. Like I said it's an idea from the spacey side of my mind ;).
-
Well I changed my mind...I am not going to shave my head tomorrow... I already did it tonight! I am going out with some friends and thought what better time for a sly test run. I am changing my profile pic now...

Major improvement! How do you like it?
-
great change!
-
I love it! Although it was a pain in the arse since I never did it before. And halfway through I realized I didnt have another mirror. A quick trip to Walgreens fixed that. I definitely feel that this is a major improvment. Thanks for the welcome and the encouragement.

You went out to Walgreen's with a half-shaved head? ;D
With a little practice, you'll be able to do without the second mirror.
-
Its a massive improvement: you really suit the SLY look O0

Sorry I'm late on the welcome, had to go out of town for a few days. The look is great. Glad you are here.
-
Wow! O0 O0 O0 Wovercast -- is that really you?! You were born for SLY!!!! Enjoy!
-
Nice look and welcome.
-
Another fine example of why dudes on the fence should do it. You've gone from kind of a 'teddy bear' look to a younger, tougher, bad a$$ (even if you're not), cool sly dude. What a transformation. Congrats!
-
Congrats! It looks great. O0

dramatic improvement for the better. Looks very natural.

A late welcome to you wovercast, the dome looks great. Major difference, and I bet you feel total freedom now.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to say a little more about myself. Going sly is sort of the cherry on top of a full body transformation. I have been working hard for a year to lose weight and get into shape. I have lost over 80 lbs, am stronger, and can run 10 miles. Here is my before pic (before sly and before losing any weight)

Huge improvement in losing both the weight and the hair. Keep up the good work. O0
-
Awesome bro...seems like more ways that one you've really improved your life...
nice move on both issues! O0
-
Truly transformed! Staying in shape and avoiding facial fat is key to looking good sly. You truly look better without hair. Great choice!
-
Dude, you are very luck, it looks great on you...you will forget what you looked like with hair soon! great work
-
Great look on you! You will forget about hair and I am sure you will not miss having to comb and style it!
-
Hard to believe it's you! Fantastic accomplishment O0--could you post up the diet & exercise plan you used? Some of us are always fighting the fact that food goes to waste, our waist :D :D :D.
-
a dramatic transformation and inspirational, both on the wieght loss and the shave. I hope that you feel truly proud of yourself.

Well I have been working at it over a year. I was 6'4" and 340 lbs so I started with cutting out all drinks except water. Also cut out almost all fried foods. Started doing the eliptical at the gym for 30 minutes and walking on the track. I got down to about 300 lbs and plateau'd. So I started doing the spin class (where you ride the stationary bikes). I did that 4 times a week. By this time I was jogging some also. After I hit another wall, I signed up for a 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles). That has forced me to train. So now I weigh about 255 lbs and have a specific training schedule. Each week I log 4 hours of spin class, 20 miles of running (and increasing), 5 hours of raquetball, and 4 hours of weight lifting. Now with 16 hours or so of working out a week, I dont watch what I eat very closely (though I still drink only water). I am still losing 1-2 lbs a week. I am shooting for a final weight of about 230 and will be running my 1/2 marathon on April 25th of this year!
