Can i pull it off?
Also, Can you be a College student with the dome, or is it more a mid-20's type of social scene thing.
I have a hard time believeing the 18-22 yr old hotties will go for it. Thanks

well statistically based on some survey, which I could look up and cite for you(but I really don't feel like doing) your odds improve greatly with women 24+...
However, myself now 22 I have been doing quite well with girls 18+(I think for legal/moral reasons I have to draw the line at 18, although I handful of younger girls at work also are into me)
I think I am one of 3, maybe 5 sly guys at my school, so 5 outta 7500 you do the math, you will def. be a standout.

You tell it DUff!

Yes, you would definitely pull it off. And if Duff's statistics are true, then better for you - mature ladies are where it's at.
And by the looks of it, you have a full head of hair, and your buddies are sporting the shorter look - so you have nothing to lose (aside from hair).
-
I think that you would have no problem pulling off the SLY look. However just remember it's not just the fact that you have a bald dome that will attract any women might find attractive. It's the confidence that you have in yourself that will attract a women more that having a smooth dome or long flowing hair. But please do not confuse confidence with cockyness, or conceidence.
Oh and welcome to the SBG Family.

Yup, do it

Those pics were from a while ago, I don'h ave as much hair any more. I don't think it's really that noticeable, except by me, and just want to see if i should just screw it and cut my losses.
I'm thinking I will, just don't know when.
Here's a more recent one

Ummmm....I cannot make any statements that may incriminate me... but I think you should try it! My 20 year old just did!
-
So you are a reporter? Heck yes go for it dude! What are you waiting on. You could be up there in the ranks with Jim Cantore. I do not see any reason why you couldnt pull it off.
-
I say go for it bro...you're a good looking dude and can pull it off ...
girls go for dudes off their attitude...big time, as long as it's not cocky...
A shaved head will give any confidence you have now a HUGE boost...go for it..
you will not suffer with the ladies!

So I live in MN, and we don't get much sunlight this time of year, should i hit up a salon? Wil my man card be revoked if i do that?
My moms gonna pissed if i do this...
-
You'll look great SLY. I say give it a go. Look at some of the photos of the other young guys on here that have wives and girlfriends in their avatars. I'm pretty sure a sane man wouldn't turn down any of these fine young ladies.

Jergens has a Natural tanning lotion that will even up your color gradually..... in about 3-5 days if i recall correctly.

Well I think you're going to find it hard to find a salon that will shave your head bald (you're gonna go slick, right?)...
and Mom's will grow to love you sly...and when was the last time you picked her haircut..j?K...but you know where I'm going with that.
Your life bro, do what's best for YOU, the rest will follow!
-
Another problem is i cant really grow facial hair, and i think goatees and beards look good with the dome.
-
I can't grow facial hair either. I try to grow a goatee every once in a while. My wife makes it subtly know that she hates it. She loves my smooth dome though.
The goat does look good with a slick head.
-
You'll definitely pull it off, and don't worry about the facial hair... total smoothness is a good look too. Moms are a tough one; I think they will always look at us as their little boys, and now you'll look even more like a man than you already do. Someday you'll give her a grandkid, and then she'll forget all about you, or at least your hair. :*))
-
Hey Whisker!
You look fine as you are and you'll look fine bald as well.
You have got the itch to shave the dome, so you should do it. You'll never know whether you want to keep the look permanently unless you have the look at least for a short while. The 30 day scenario suggested frequently on this Board is a good guide.
And can the excuses: you can pull it off, the young guys on the Board are telling you that the young babes are liking the look, and as was mentioned above you're mom doesn't consult you about her haircut. Or does she? ::)
Give it a try.

A really tight buzz cut will look great on you and so would shaved. If you shave and don't like it, it'll be a tight buzz look in less than a week. As for the ladies... it's all about confidence my friend. You're a good lookin dude and will continue to be with or without hair.
I actually attract a lot more women since shaving my head (I buzz it down to the bone most of the time now - stubble). I think it has to be the confidence I have knowing that I no longer have a patchy bad hair style. Also, it was tough for me to have confidence and keep eye contact with the ladies and people in general when all I could think about was how my hair looked. If you're the least bit self-conscious about your hair then shave it off. No hair feels much better than bad hair.

O0 O0 O0 Dear Whisker:
Since you've got the itch, go for it. You don't need the goat; your features and jawline will work well with a slick dome. As many of the guys can attest, the earlier in life you embrace the sly look, the happier you'll be. Some make the choice, reluctantly and under the pressure of the inevitable; others, with full heads of hair, make it for aesthetic reasons. Give it the 30-day trial. I have know of only one guy who decided to reverse his decision. Post a pic. All best, Professor Melon

monosyllabic conversations! yess!!!! haha. ;D
Dude, go for it. There are women out there (I started shaving when I was 20, im 22 now) our age that love the bald cut, whether it be shaved or buzzed. I met my wife because of the shaved head. After you do it, its like a life-changing experience. Everything starts to change. Its an extremely masculine-looking cut, and with it you notice that your shoulders come back a little more, your back straightens a little more, and you become more brazen and bold. (sometimes for the worst.... >:D )
judging by your pictures, id say just go for it. give it a try. if you dont like it, your hairline isnt that bad so just grow it back.
