I'm embarrased / dismayed by the title (haven't heard the song)  of Kelly Clarkson's new 'hit'  "Life sucks without you." (or some such).  I hear its setting record sails.   jeeezz...  there is no more poetry in everyday life, right?  Or is it that rank vulgarity is now passing as poetry.  ...

(my rant for the day )

Last night at the cage fights they played "Everybody was Kung Fu fighting"  The whole audience was singing and dancing along (me too)

By the way, have you heard about Brittney Spears new song??  It is creating quite a controversy.  I haven't hard it but reportedly it is named "If You Seek Amy"   The words are something like --  ""All the boys want to do is If you seek Amy.""
Thereby spelling out the F word in the song. (all the boys want to F*#@ Me)   Apparently the FCC is considering fining radio stations that play the song.  Many young girls are running around singing this song,, not even realizing how vulgar it is.  Check your kids IPODS for this filth.

Those cats were fast as lightning-- I know everybody sang that out when they read the first line of this post!!

Well I like ABBA and I'm not ashamed of it.  O0 :D :/O

Seriously I learned a long time ago to keep my mouth shut about the kind of music I like.  I mean I don't listen to dirty or hateful stuff but just not the "Famous and Approved" groups (e.g. I like ABBA and Bonnie Tyler).  I even turn off the music whenever someone rides with me in my car so I don't get ridiculed.  It's sad but there are some real music dictators out there who will absolutely rip you apart if you don't like EXACTLY what they like.  :Xo!  Music should be a very individual choice and a person SHOULD never have to apologize or hide what they listen to (unless it's really anti-social stuff).  Alas we are not there yet.

ABBA....uh, no. Now if I were wearing sequins and drinking a wine cooler, then MAYBE I could see it.  ;D

Other songs for this thread....
Who let the Dogs Out.
Achy Breaky Heart

and the song that's played at sports events (don't know the title), but the only word in the entire song is HEEEYYYYY shouted by the crowd. The "chorus" goes na na na HEEEYYYY, da da da da. If you hum it, you'll know what song I'm talking about.

And I really wish I could put a mute button on MikeKoz for his man love for Jimmy Buffett...sad.
