I don't live that far from Bethel where they had Woodstock in 69. I guess maybe a couple hour drive or so. I never did make it there as I was working and not really into the Hippy scene back then....remember seeing all of it on the news....the 60's was quite a time..... O:O

Nope he died when I was just a kid. But later on I enjoyed his music...especially in my "420" days..some of you will know what I am talking about O0 Now I can enjoy it without the benifit of certain mind altering substances.

I saw him at the Odeon in Hanley in 1967, he was supporting The Walker Bros and Englebert.I was 13 at the time and only went to see Scott Walker.

Big time Hendrix fan here, one of my faves. Never got to see him live though. I was a youngster when he passed on much too soon.

I saw him again with his band at The Golden Torch in 1969, The J Hendrix Experience.I had just started work as a apprentice photographer with a local paper and got to see all the stars who performed around Staffordshire.

I saw him twice in Dallas. I don't remember the exact dates, but I still have the ticket stubs at home somewhere. I love Hendrix, he set the bar for so many styles. But....the shows were in the 60's with terrible sound systems and lights. But is was Henrix and I loved every second of both shows.

I saw Jeff Beck with the Yardbirds, he in my opinion was better, some of Hendricks guitar playing was awful at times.
