i am asking for imput of anyone who has been on somewhere to go and why. no kids and just wanting to have fun and relax. Spa woud be nice for her and maybe scuba for me with some riding.

Cruises have been the best vacations that I have ever been on.  IMO

I loved Hawaii and even though I have been there several times, I would go back in a heartbeat.

I second Koz on Bermuda.   We went on an 8-day cruise from NYC to Bermuda and it was our best vacation ever.

I think it all depends on what you like and are looking for.

Cruises are fun and there is a lot to do. My wife loves to cruise but since I lived on a ship for years, it's not something that I am crazy about.

Like Paul said, Hawaii is nice and we have been there a few times. The only bad thing about it is the distance from the east coast, especially the flight home.

Aruba is also a good choice as we liked it there a lot. The Virgins Islands are also nice with lots to do. St. Thomas, St John etc.  We also loved the island of Grenada while we were there.

Best of luck in choosing a destination and have fun !!    O0

Check out Sandals Resort on St. Lucia.  No kids are allowed and it's very relaxing.  We had a great time there on our honeymoon.

Isn't Bermuda really puritannical?  Thought I read that somewhere.

I suppose it's a little conservative, but we had a great time.  The locals were very friendly and welcoming, and the beaches were great.  We appreciated not being swarmed by pushy vendors everywhere we went, which has happened in many of the other places we've vacationed.
