Title: what is the use of a aftershave splash?

i was just wandering....
coz there were no instructions.....

Well I believe that the splashes are designed to help close the pores after shaving. This keeps the pores from getting full of nasty things and I believe also helps with keeping ingrown hairs to a minimum.
