Title: Frenzy!!!
Post by: Ringside on January 07, 2009, 05:00:41 PM
Hey guys, I noticed some are interested in moisturizers.  My absolute favorite is Burts Bees Wax Milk and Honey moisturizer.  It is available at all Walgreens.  It is the 'coup de grace' after a hot shower and shave.  I cant wait to smear it on.   What sends you into a frenzy after you shave???????         (I'm talking lotions/ creams etc, not extra-curricular activities!)

I am quite partial to Burts Bees Nutritive Day Creme, the carrot one. I love the smell of it too. Their lettuce toner is pretty good too

I cant find the carrot style here in Oklahoma.  Burts lists it on the web site though, may have to get it on the net, Always willing to try new stuff for the noggin.

Ditto, just enough fragrance but it doesn't offend by being overpowering, and it really feels good, leaves no oily residue, lasts a long time and is sized for travel.

i actually dont use anything on my head after i shave. i prefer to just take a hot shower after and that does the job. i dont like the greasy, oily, moist, or wet feeling of anything on my bald head after i shave even if its only temporarily.

the only problem with not applying anything after is a little bit of dry skin i get.

Pretty much sticking with the moisturizers I have which are either L'Oreal Pure & Matte/BG Moisture Gel or Cetaphil that I usually use on my face. It's not the 'coup de grace' feeling for me as I only use small amount of either and tap it on coz I like the matte look.

If your talking something near a frenzy thing, love trying different aftershaves by splashing on the noggin.  Go to splash is Musgo Real Aftershave.  Tried the old school 'Brut' the other week (felt lively!!) and I'll give the Nivea a bash that's mentioned.  O0

BaldGuyz moisture gel or Headlube Glossy for me, sometimes the BaldGuyz first and then the Headlube depending on if I want it shiny or not.

I've tried some Pinuad Clubman and Aqua Velva on my head. Man does that burn! Sometimes I'm just in the mood for masochistic torture.

YOu all are overspending.  Buy you a big bottle of 100% aloe vera gel, keep it in the fridge.  Buy one with a pump on it.  As yo are walking out the door, pop open the fridge door, steal a squirt or two and BAMMM!  Wonderful feeling.

Thing is you can buy a huge bottle for like 4 bucks and if you just solely use it for your noggin, I would say it will stretch 8-9 months easily.

I'd have to agree. Can't beat plain aloe vera. Make sure to get the clear and NOT the green stuff. The green stuff is said to be heavier and greasier. I've only tried the clear AV though.

I have a mix that I make myself out of Dickinson's Witch Hazel. I mix in just enough Aloe Vera Gel to thicken it just a little bit and then top it off with about 20 drops of pure Tea Tree Oil (the real oil, not the fragrance). Stings a little at first but in a good way (does that sound wierd?) as though it is disinfecting my scalp. It has to be shaken before use because the oil separates.
