I was wondering how many of you sly guys got your start. As a show of support for a loved one, friend, or co worker who was involved in a tragedy or cancer?? Or did you shave your head to help raise money??? Or perhaps lose a bet?? What was the initial reaction of your family and did that reaction eventually change?? What was the reaction of your co workers?? What pushed you over the edge and made you go SLY?
My start was 6 years ago on a cruise ship, my daughter took me on the balcony of the cabin and sheared me clean. My wife initially hated it, now she loves it. My patients are much more intimidated by me now, even though I am still a gentle teddy bear. My life definitely changed for the better that day on a cruise ship!!

Honestly for me it was just a matter of loosing my hair so back in June off came the remnants and SLY ever since.
By the way..Elisha really put it on em' that day didn't he??

sly is the only way to go at this point in my life. Im clean officially now for approx. 3 years. However; I retired my cutesy-wootsy look when I went clean shaven.

It was simple for me. I'm BBC and I hate my hair! I was obsessed with bald for about 2 years before I finally did it and kept it. I didn't think I would look right, so New Years Eve... I just realized it's my 2 year baldiversary!.. anyways, on New Years Eve 2 years ago I shaved it smooth.. and never looked back. I love it.

I was losing my hair and while I could spray and style to look "good", I wasn't happy with the routine or having to think about how my hair looked so frequently.
Nobody I know seemed to care whether I shaved my head or didn't. The only thing I noticed so far is that I have more opportunities with women. Other than that, very few comments. Business as usual.

Completely for selfish reasons..
I've always dug the look of a bald head and knew it was for me, eventhough I still have a full head of hair...totally dig the whole vibe..
and yea, after 15 years razored smooth..
I'm with out a doubt...

I just finished what my genes started, buzzing shorter and shorter over the last 20 years. Finally I couldn't buzz it any shorter so I gave the razor a try. I'm hooked.

I'm bald by choice. I had long hair and just wanted something different. So off it came!
Should've seen my wife's face when I got out of the shower that night! LOL

I used to have real LONG hair and I watched a show on the locks of love program and thought that I needed to do that so I did it and let it grow back out again then went for it a second time, at that point I noticed the hole growing in the back and the hairline in front was receding real bad so I started to buzz it down to nothing for awhile, then finally came to the conclusion that if I couldn't have it all any more then I didn't want any of it, it was the best thing that has happened to me.

When it got to the point that I looked like I had a combover regardless of the hairstyle I decided to buzz my head. It was only about 3 months after buzzing I decided to try shaving it all off and it's been like that for 3 years. O0

Just finishin off what Mother Nature started. In my time. When i wanted to. An I have no regrets. ;)

On a fateful evening, when bringing my son to Wonder Cuts to get his hair cut for school, I noticed there was one EMPTY chair in the shop that was left, unclaimed. I made a leap for the chair and told the stylist to buzz me all the way down to the bone. Never looked back since. No regrets.
