ive been having stomach pains and problems for the past year so i had to schedule a colonoscopy for january 21st. well it turns out that the price of the operation will double at the end of the year because i have horrible insurance, so on friday i had to change the operation to december 31st (wednesday). now im extremely nervous because that gave me no time to prepare. i know this isnt the biggest thing to complain about but just pray that theres nothing seriously wrong with me, and all goes well. :-\
ill let you know how it went on thursday probably. it depends on how much rest ill need after.

I'll keep u in my prayers, ghost. take care, man.

Ghost, best of luck to you and my prayers go out to you.

Good luck Ghost..... Prayers to you.

Sometimes not having time to prepare is a good thing ... less time to worry about things. Prayers headed your way. Let us know how you make out. Try not to worry too much in the meantime.
-
Ghost, dont worry about it bro. Even if there is something wrong, the Dr.'s will take care of it. You may have to recover from it, but with a strong will power, you will make it. Just be thankful that you are still able to get up every morning. Praying for you Bro! Hang in there!

Best of luck. I agree with the others that it's probably better this way - giving you less time to worry about it. I'm sure everything will turn out fine ...

I lit a candle for you. I'm sure thast you'll be fine though. I've had operations before and they've all turned out fine.

brother, my thoughts go out to you, best of luck

Hey Ghost , Try not to worry about it , its not a test you can "study" for! the test is not real complicated , its just a pain in the arse getting in the right position for :*)) and if there IS something there its better that they catch it as early as possible ! all joking aside , you WILL be in our thoughts today and we'll be waiting on your update on the results ! GOOD LUCK !

Howdy Ghost,
By now, your ordeal of today is over and you're hopefully relaxing with family and/or friends. No matter what the outcome of the colonoscopy will be, at least you'll have an answer and hopefully some reassurance. Here's to hoping you have a happy and healthier 2009!

hi everyone im back. sorry i didnt let you guys know how my operation went earlier. ive been in bed resting.
the stomach pains and blood ive been having for the past year turns out to be "ulcerative colitis" they took pictures of my intestines and they werent pretty. my colon is filled with bloody ulcers. and while ulcerative colitis is uncurable they said its treatable with steroids. im lucky i found it now, because they said if it went any longer without being noticed i would have to have my colon removed.
im so glad i found the problem. im still scared as hell though because ive never had anything this serious wrong with me. i dont know what the futures gonna bring.
i know theres people out there with worse problems than me so i feel bad for being depressed over it, but i cant help it. yesterday after i got back from the hospital i kinda broke down. its a horrible feeling.

That's understandable. Go ahead and break down if it makes you feel better. Then when it's out of your system, count your blessings that it's something that can be controlled and managed. You're lucky to have found out at young age, so you can take steps to do all the right things to prevent it from getting any worse. Hopefully with the right diet and medications you'll be good as new in no time.

i think you don't have to to be depressed over it. maybe there are people with more problems, but i think everyone would feel kinda down in that situation. you will see everything will clear up soon O0
you you will be well soon. hang out with us here.

Getting bad news about one's physical condition is never easy to take bro, so your mood is understandable. You know you have a bunch of ready shoulders here to share your problems with. As others have said, the good news is that it IS treatable and that you caught it in time. Here's to a happier and healthier new year for ya.
-
Hope you are now on the mend and 2009 will be a better year
-
i appreciate all your guys support. it means a lot. im doing a better job dealing with the issue, i still have my up and downs over it but im ok.
kind of a s***** way to start the new year but lifes unpredictable. you gotta take what it gives you.
-
Hey Ghost, Don't look at it as a crappy way to start the new year, look at it, that you know the problem and can get on the road to recovery. Just remember if you need to talk and get it out, your bald brothers are here for ya.
-
Ghost, yeah that sucks bro, but like some others have said, be thankful they caught it in time and can now treat it and watch it. You know we're here for ya man!
-
Ghost, yes, it's a serious diagnosis, but it can very good be treated.
All the best wishes for you.
