I'm bored so here's a silly holiday question.
I prefer the Shiny Look for my head and use HeadLube Gloss to achieve the look that I want.
Which do you prefer or strive for?
-
Definitely shiny....the Nivea Extreme aftershave balm does a good job on my noggin O0
-
Definitely shiny.
-
shiny shiny shiny
-
Shiny, without question. I've even buffed the dome w/ my t-shirt when dressing in the morning. Feels good, brings up a little more shine. 8)
-
I want it shiny enough to shave in... oh wait...
-
Shiny definitely. O0
-
Brother I want to blind folks if I can! 8)
Shiny bro...shiny! O0
-
Definitely shiny. I use HeadLube Glossy, but I always end up with a shine an hour or two after shaving anyway.
-
At first, I wanted to keep the shine down. Imagine that.
Then I realized the shinier, the better. I get good shiny results with Gillette Afta on the freshly shaved dome. It's cool when there's a glare in the family holiday photos!
-
Well boys to add some variety.... I prefer the understated matte look.
I like it shining too mind but I think the matte clean look suits my skin colour better.
-
Shiny........... and another vote for the Nivea Extreme After Shave Balm!
-
Before I shaved mine, I wanted the matte look because I wanted to draw as little attention to my head as possible - I was a former hairpiece guy. After I shaved it, I wanted to shine as brightly as possible because I wanted everyone to see it.
-
SHINY as well, i use the headlube glossy after i use either the straight razor of the headblade
-
SHINY! 8)
A shiny dome makes a definite statement 'I'm SLY and proud of it! 8)
-
I am with most everyone else, I love the shine. When I first went sly I knew I wanted to be blinding with it.
-
Shiny O:O is the ONLY way to go for me!
After cleansing and blade whacking, a little dab'll do ya' of HEADLUBE GLOSSY
and I'm making sneaker tracks out the door.
-
Fireman dave: that SHINE speaks for itself 8) That's one brilliant shine you got goin there O0

Came about a super duper shine method quite by accident.
In the experimental stage trying various methods / routines, to cleansing shaving, and shining.
One of these experiments was cleansing w/Nutritioniste Gel MicroBead Cleanser, (found at most grocery stores, Wal-Mart, CVS, etc) coupled with Bald Guys Shave Gel. Rub it in well.
Shave with a nice sharp blade. (My choice: Fusion)
Towel dry.
Results: b!n&
NOTE: HeadWash by HeadBlade (combined w/Bald Guyz Shave Gel) = same excellent results also.
Originally, I intended to use the HeadLube Glossy for my final step in this experiment, but before
I reached this step, I looked in the mirror, and WOW! (LOL- Afraid then that if I used the Headlube, my scalp would then be so smooth and sleek, that my scalp might just slide right off my skull onto the floor. :o
After testing this experiment w/the gel cleanser and the shave gel (I was@ the firehouse at the time), I walked outside the firehouse and blinded three drivers coming down the road from the cranium glare. (LOL)

Dave you'd certainly be a contender for the crown of shiny!!! ;D
-
for me personally, I do not want shiny, just don't like it.
When I first shaved that's the look I wanted but now I prefer the matte.
But the shiny looks good on you guys though!!!!!! :D
-
i guess it depends on what im doing, or where im going
-
When this keeps happening.....
I keep findin' this little bugger on the bathroom floor just when my morning shave routine is coming to an end......
LOL.. Maybe I oughta' lighten up on the "slippery lube.".....

I agree, but I'm naturally shiny.
-
Shinnier the better. Would like to be able to read fine print in mine.

A lil shine is the way to go... O0

Seems I read somewhere on this forum about someone recommending "KING OF SHAVES" brand shaving oil.
I remembered the post as I saw this item inside a local CVS. Very inexpensive , so I bought it and tried it out that night. You can add this to your current shaving gel/cream etc before you apply your gel to your scalp, as well as alone, as a fine lubricant additive to your shaving routine. (A few drops helps lubricate your scalp like crazy - i think you will be quite pleased)
Results: Helps deliver a great, extra close shave, and adds a little sheen to your noggin!!!
Added Bonus: It feels great to the touch, too!

It really depends on what you like. I actually alternate between Glossy and Matte.
I also get a great natural shine after using witch hazel too.
-
Shiny is the way to go! I have been looking for the "best" way to achieve this. I will try the Nivea and the shaving oil. Would Warhawk's "Shave Secret" work as well as the King of Shaves Oil????
-
Count my vote for SHINE. I like high gloss.
-
Definitely shiny! I uncovered my dome for a reason and I want my slyness to shine in all it's glory!
-
Shiny!!!!!!
Why cover up all that beauy? 8)
-
SHINY brother, shiny! 8)
Heck even my newly skinned flattie...
gots to shine! ;)

Shiny for sure. I find that all I need to do is work a drop (literally one small drop) of Baby Oil with Vitamin E and work it in, followed by a splash of witch hazel or rubbing alcohol for a supreme shine.
-
I try to get mine as shiny as possible... 8)
-
matte for me
