Title: Beanie's!
Post by: Sourjanerocks on February 02, 2007, 11:17:39 PM
Sly Bald Guys should make some beanie's. Because I dont know about the rest of you that live in colder places in the winter months, but I cant live without my beanie keeping my head warm!

Is a beanie the knitted cap with the tassel thingi on top? I mostly wear adjustable baseball caps. Though I do have two fitted brim hats for winter/summer. I'm wondering if they will still fit once I'm shaved since I measured my head (with hair) when I ordered them?

Beanies are cool!  Beanies, skull caps & doo rags.  I'd like to see a variety of headwear available with the SBG logo on it.  I'm not one for being a walking billboard but I'd wear SBG headgear.  It's hard to find a decent hat nowadays.  Everything is baseball caps.  Everyone wears 'em so I don't wanna.

Cool!  Right now I'm going to focus on Beanies and Baseball caps in regards to headwear.  I might find some other stuff later on.

Tell you the truth, Baseball caps don't seam to look right on a Bald Sly head, unless they fit right... Thats always the toughest part, harder to regulate than your Pants size.

You said that right.  I do have a "one size fits most" fake fitted ball cap (looks fitted but has elastic in the band) that feels good on the slick melon.  I just don't like the ring around my head when I take it off, so I don't wear it much.

I hear you there bro.  I've tried several times to wear different sized baseball hats since I've been sly and no matter what I can never get one to look right on the dome.  It's either a little too loose looking or when I take it off I have a ring around the dome like SlickCountry mentioned.  But a skull cap is the bomb on a sly dome.  I love skull caps.  I sweat like crazy though so can never really sport them as much as I would like.  That's why I love when the weather gets cold.  I've never really been into bucket hats too much.  I've only owned 1 in my life.  But then again I haven't tried them out since I've been sly.  I'll have to give them another try.

I'll go against the status quo and vote doo rag. beanies and other hats make my mellon itch, not to mention the previously stated "hat ring". doo rags for summer and hoodies for winter.

How about beanies or slully's with the moisture control fabric? Like the Under Armour clothing line. Is that already in the plans?

I know I am the new guy and all but here goes my 2 cents

I am very particular about hats in general and benies are a hat of many varieties...

I would suggest something more like this http://www.a1skateboards.com/product.asp?product=5BINDBTGBE10000 (http://www.a1skateboards.com/product.asp?product=5BINDBTGBE10000)

Something that is comfortable and made for snowboarding or skiing. Those old fashion beanies with the puff or the night watchman / longshoreman style are not too good

That's exactly what I'm looking for!  I'm having a really hard time finding a supplier of those style of "beanies" so if any of you know a manufacturer that sells them ready for embroidery, let me know.

Thanks.  Though, I can actually get that style cheaper with the company that handles my production.  The problem is, they haven't been able to find the style that I'm looking for.  :(  Hopefully they can make some more headway this week.

This one here is good.

http://www.e4hats.com/_e/Polyester_Fleece_Beanie/product/pl004bn-red/Polyester_Fleece_Beanie_Red.htm

notice the top, the stitching is like a star style instead of just an X. These seem to fit WAY better and actually look much better on than the standard knit beanie.

This style (fleece or not) is simply the best.

The style I recommended up there helps.

It is made to fit your head and not stretch over your head like a sock.

the one above is fleece so it doesn't have the itching irritating qualities of wool or knit beanies.

Just wanted to give my two cents on this. I also have a huge head ( in size ).  I use these beanies here for playing all my sports and working out. They do stay put and dry out fast.
