Hey All,
Just joined, started to go thin on top so have been gradually shaving my hair shorter. Just gone to a number 2, will go to a 1 next month. Thought I would hate it, but it is the best thing I have done in a long time. This site has been fantastic to read and really helped me to make up my mind. Glad I have finally joined!

Welcome, Im new as well and while i know that my MPB is going to come to me sooner or later, it feels great to embrace the slick as well as the awesome support from the guys here.
Cheers
J.
ps. if you do decide to go slick... give it at least a week before you decide on anything, your first headshave may not come out perfect or how you like it.. just takes some time but you'll learn to love it O0.. theres a very good reason why almost all of the smileys icons have chrome domes

Thats the plan, might go down 1 tommorow though as I really like it. Cant wait to go complete now, just worried about doing it without cutting myself!

You'll never be able to hold out until March. Getting to #1 is a big step. Once you get used to that and realize that it only takes a week to grow out to that length, it's all over. Once the idea has taken hold in your brain, you won't be satisfied until you're shiny bald. ;)

Welcome! I thought i would do the same thing i did the #2 then #1 then no guard and razor'ed it all in one day and the rest is history! Take your time when you go with the razor. Good luck!

Hi There
As another newbie, my advice on head shaving is just to go for it (if you don't like the result your hair will quickly grow back, but if you're anything like me you'll probably not look back and want to remain sly)
I too used to clipper my hair gradually getting shorter and shorter from a 4 -3-1-0 until I finally thought what the hell - just go for it and I've been shaving my head for about 2 weeks ! I love it ! 8)

Once you're down to #1, it's a short slide to Sly. There seems to be a disproportionate difference between NEARLY no hair and NONE. Go slowly, take your time, and if you like the short buzz, I know you'll love SLY. Post up a pic!

Welcome aboard!

A late welcome to you UKnewbie, we have quite a few fellow Uk'ers here as well.
I bet you will shave it off long before March. Once you go down to a 1 buzz, it will just eat at you until you do it.
So just get it done, if you're not happy with the results, it's only a few days until you are back to a 1.
Hopefully you have done it by now. Good Luck!

Hey man... welcome to the board. I've kept mine at a no guard buzz for a LONG time. I gradually went shorter too and decided to keep it at the no guard.. but after a few weeks here, I'm feeling it may be time to shed the buzz for good. Good luck with your choice and keep us posted.

Welcome buddy. Glad you're liking your new look.
