Hey guys, I finally took the plunge. Im 19 now and I live in Canada, Ive been clipping my head with no attachment for about 3 years now so i didnt get the "shock" of the cold breeze since im pretty used to it. I had shaved my head once before about a year ago. 3 days ago I decided it was time. shaved it all off but kept my beard as a few friends were requesting it for a party ( last party I arrived with some knarly pork chop sideburns). So wouldn't you know it, I have been going strong now 3 days in a row im scared if i skip a day im gonna regret it dreadfully. 1st day was brutal, tacky itchy head, razor burn on the back of my head and neck. day 2 was very good razor burn is non-visble anymore and the top of my head feels beautiful. day 3, a snow storm decided to hit my town which felt very nice on my head and also the back of my head is a bit more resilient to the blade, but my neck is still killing me. any way I just wanted to say hey and hope everyone is doing well for the holiday season.
Cheers,
J.

Welcome to SBG J !! O0
Don't be too concerned with your noggin, it should toughen up after being sly for awhile.

welcome to the asylum! ha ha

You'll be fine once your skin toughens up a bit. Try an astringent like Witch Hazel to take away the burn.

Hey guys, i just wanted to say thanks for all the welcomes and I;m not on day 6 of being sly and i'd have to say im loving it. we got reallly busy at work tonight and the sweat in the eyes thing happened to me, im already a big sweater so.. it was quite the shiny dome when i was done. i just got an early xmas present from my mom, my first headblade which basically signified to me that im shaving my head for good rather than just trying it.
Snow storm definitely hasnt let up since wednesday.
Hope everyone has a very merry pre-christmas weekend.
Cheers

jMac ~ welcome and congrats on the slick dome. Also on the early Christmas present from your Mom. I started out with the HB, scared myself silly the first dozen times but persevered and it is my tool of choice now. RE: razor burn -- may I suggest a shaving oil, either alone or under your lather?
Have fun w/ the HB!

Welcome!
Headblade: That's a nice present! My parents haven't seen my bald head yet.

A late welcome to you jmac, been catching up on posts.
Sounds to me like your on your way to staying slick and smooth. Good to hear that you got the HeadBlade for Christmas.
Remember to just take it slow and easy, no pressure on the blade end, and you'll be fine.
Enjoy the forum.
