Title: Hey everyone
Post by: foodfor4 on December 16, 2008, 06:00:18 PM
Hey guys I just wanted to tell everyone that this is my first post. I am not currently sly at the moment. I shaved my head for over a year in highschool, but am now back to my high and tight flat top. My dad has prostate cancer and is slowly loosing his hair. Soon he will be forced to shave his head. I plan to shave my head to support him and I also have been wanting to shave my head again for some time now.  ;D I hope to meet you all soon. From, Randy :D

Hey Randy, welcome to SBG !!   O0

Sorry to hear about your Dad and that's a great thing your going to do in support of him. I myself had prostate cancer so I know what you and your Dad are going through. How old is your Dad if I may ask?

My prayers and best wishes are with you and your Dad and the rest of the family.

Thank you to you both for responding to me so quickly. I do love the feeling of being bald, especailly while in the shower.

I am so sorry to hear about what you went through Brkeatr. To answer you question my dad is 64. Thank you for your kind words. November was a rough month for my family. My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. 2 weeks later my Aunt found out that a cancer which she had gotten rid of years befor was back. He boss got word of the sad news and fired her. My other Aunt who is my dads sister found out that she has a high risk of prostate cancer and must have her prostate removed to avoid getting it in the future. On top of that my uncle is going to Iraq for the third time where he builds/repairs tanks. I guess it could be worse though...

Welcome.
You can shave before him to show him how good a bald head can be. Might eliminate some stress.
Sorry about your situations, glad you found us though  8)

Yes Randy, Welcome!!!!!  All of our thoughts and prayers are with you.  Hang in there.  I too had prostrate cancer and came through with flying colors.  I know your Dad will do the same.  Modern medicine is wonderful.

I have decided that I will probably be shaving my head tomorow. This will be the third time for me tpo shave my head. I do not know if I will be using a razor and shaving cream this time, I will decide after buzzing it all off. I am excited to be BBC again, but am a bit nervous.

Randy, a belated welcome to you.  Sorry to hear about your father.  My mom has had some heart problems this year so although not cancer, I feel for what you've been going through.  Good luck on your upcoming shave.  You'll do great.
