Personally, neither... but some here have good things to say about both.
I use the Atra Plus on my HB... they work like a champ!
-
I think the only way to find out is through trial and error. Everybody's different; some people get terrific results with a certain blade while others have terrible results with that same blade. A lot depends on your shaving technique, how often you shave, how much hair you have, the texture of your hair, etc.
-
i dont have much hair but the hair i do have is thick. i shave every other day.
-
I use either the atra blades or the sensor 3

I use Trips, but don't waste your money on the Headblades, the CVS M3's are the exact same blade for half the price. They just have a green strip instead of yellow. The lift strip even has the same Korean manufacturer ebmossed in the rubber.

I agree with Matt...... they are the same blades. I use the triples from CVS. They are half the price and they often have buy one pack get a pack helf price.

Yup yup yup, the CVS trips do the job nicely. As I've said before, they feel slightly aggressive at first, but now they are my go to blade. I even bought the CVS razor to use as cleanup as I adjust to using a merkur HD on my face.

ive used single when i was in a bind and needed to shave, and it felt like i was ripping my skin off. the double blades were nice, but i have since fallen in love with my mach3 turbo. it slides like "buttah" :@`
-
the hair on my head is very thick, at some points i feel like there are 5 hairs coming from each follicle. Since i started shaving my face I've always had to resort to doubles. the trips never got close enough for me, although i would have to agree they cause less irritation. its a fine line between close shave and irration( on my face) as for my head, im on day 5 of being sly and i started with double sensors, tried a fusion, moved onto a headblade(trip) but i think im gonna go buy some doubles for my headblade. hope it goes well for you, you could always try broken glass, or a fancy kitchen knife ive got a few that are quite sharp, they will cut the hairs on my arm if i run the knife across them( without touching skin)
cheers
J.

Hey guys. You're correct about the CVS triple blades being the same manufacturer. We have added costs because we package them and also include the extra adaptors. Obviously we appreciate your support when you buy our brand but also understand that the money saved is a consideration when you purchase. We will keep developing new products to support head shavers worldwide. We appreciate your continued support as part of the HeadBlade team. Feel free to email me questions or post here as on of my resolutions is to be more active on this, and other, forums. Todd

Triple for me. I just like them better.

It's different from one person to the next. I find doubles the best for me, especially the Atra doubles give me real quality shaves O0

Hey Todd, I don't have CVS pharmacy here - have Walgreens and PayLess. Do they carry a triple blade made by the same manufacturer???
I really liked my original triple blade that came with the HB. Changing to a double blade Atra refill has made my headshave feel like torture rather than the pleasure it was.
Thanks.

Never mind. I realized that Walgreens has the genuine article and picked up a triple blade kit on the way home!

Thanks for the heads up! I've spent the last week or so trying every blade manu and type that fits the HB (looking for a reasonably priced replacements) and they all cut up my head.
The first swipe with the M3 felt like putting on an old pair of well worn shoes. I've found my replacement cartridge.

Triple, triple, triple...
The $8 or so at Walgreens for the gin-u-wine HB triples in the 4-pack works just fine for me. I get about two weeks out of each with no problem.
