I'm Tom and I've recently found this site, looks really good, really supportive.
I'm 23 and I'm from South East England, UK. I started going thin on top at the age of about 17/18, it seems my hair has got worse over times of stress though, and recently I was going through serious stress at work.. Perhaps my hair will to some extent grow back a bit. I realize I have inherited male pattern baldness anyway though.. So at some point I'll be shaving this bad boy all off!! Just so hard to face up to..

As some people here have said in the past, you have to forget what you think you are supposed to look like. Shave your head and then give it time, you will probably enjoy it. I am also going through hair thinning although my situation is pretty good now. In the near future it will get worse so I shaved my head to see what it feels like. I don't think I will like the thin hair and most people wouldn't. So I gave it a try and have never looked back. I like my bald head, and I love the fact that I don't have to go through the stress anymore. It's not good for you.

Stress and work is usually a given, even when you are doing something you really enjoy. Main goal here is to not to add stress due to hair or lack of. There are a few great solutions on here to help keep that stress away 8)
