No doubt he would rock the shaved look but I can't think of anyone else that can sport a shoe as good as Jason Statham. He makes bald with hair on the sides look great.

I disagree strongly.

I think words or expressions can make someone look stupid (hint). Not their hair as God gave it to them. Maybe they won't look as good but "stupid"?

To me that just sounds ignorant.

I think you need to research the term "sly". If I wanted to say "shaved head" I would have. A sly brother wouldn't say everyone looks stupid with a shoe. Hang in there man. I'm sure your day will get better. Maybe go for a walk or something.

Jason Statham looks good either way.  I dont think he looks "stupid" with the balding look at all.
He keps it short and thats always the way to go.  GonnaBSly whats the point with the negativity man ?
We should all be lucky enough to look as "stupid" as Jason Statham....jeez.

Jason Statham can do whatever he pleases with his hair, If he is man enough to accept his baldness as it comes then more power to him. He looks good how he is now, no doubt he would look good shaved. the only real point worth making is that he has had a successful career in spite of what people like you think about his MPB.

I honestly think he looks better with what he has left. It gives him the right amount of edge, like Bruce Willis. They are confident enough not to have to worry about it, they just take it down short and forget about it.

Dude, how can you make statements like this, when you are already overly sensitive to what others say to you.
I have MPB, and people can see that even when I'm shaved all the way down.
Please grow some balls.

OK. Statham encompasses every aspect of Sly. Whether its Sly bald guy or Sly Balding guy.
He has a edge, mannerism of the character or whatever, has nothing to do with his hair.
I am use to seeing him with hair, so not sure if my opinion would change either way if he was smooth.
I bet he still has no issue with the ladies  O0

Yep, it works for him, but I'd like to see him take it all the way sly sometime.

Sadly enough the dude can actually act, when given the right script. He does well with less action-y parts like... in "Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels", "Snatch", "The Bank Job" and the much lesser known "Revolver". All really good parts, written and played well.

For some reason he's also made some pretty bad movies like "The one", "Cellular" and the utterly CRAPTASTIC "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale" (possibly the worst film ever made).

Don't get me wrong, I like his action flicks too I'm just saying the guy can actually act while fully clothed and neither punching or blowing up anyone/anything.

Native Americans and those who came before them used seashells to pluck and cut, as well as their knives which were actually sharper than steel because they were made using chert, obsidian and flint etc all which flake away like glass under pressure.

No question about it; he looks years younger.  To be  honest, I don't know a whole lot about this guy, and I had guessed his age to be about 45 years old.  I just looked him up in Wikipedia and he's only 36.  Without the thinning hair, he looks about 30.

I loved the Transporter movies, and as I stated in another post, Jason was one of my first influences to buzz it down. He exudes so much confidence, and that is what being sly is all about.

He looks fine just the way he is, that's his choice, and obviously it's fine for him.

yes; jason looks good with a short buzz; as do most mpb guys.  Sly / shaved is often 'better' in the sense that it is more edgy and extreme (but is not so mainstream that maybe that isn't as true as it used to be.

another guy who looks good with a close 'shoe'  is Enrico ????  (used to be Elliot on "just shoot me' is now on "FlashPoint" ...  he would look look with a shaved head; and I'm surprised he's never tried it.  He should take a cue from Hugh Dillon; his co-star on Flashpoint.

also; Enrico has been in another show I've just seen snippets of channel surfing;  he wears a RUG in that one !   Interesting; and I guess necessary for the role,  but ; ....    It just ain't him !

I'm with razor, My dad has rocked a buzz my whole life and no one ever said anything to him about it. Buzz is a good and safe option for many of balding men. going sly is bolder and can yield more extreme results.

I think buzz works for those whose balding pattern is 1) symettrical, and 2) doesn't involve and "island" in the front.  If you have the island and asymettrical balding it doesn't work, it makes it worse, particularly if there's a noticeable difference in density on the sides and top.  For those guys, put me in that lot, it doesn't work and Sly is really the only answer.

Well put.  My wife still isn't a fan of the sly look, and wants me to keep some hair up top, but I have the partial island, varying densities AND the island thinning like the trees at the edge of a wood... a bit sporadic, but with a huge bald "target" on the back o' my head.  I'm going to shave again, since I can't really "do" the hair on top bit (though it does make my adjustable trucker caps go on easier...).

Crank 2 was one of the worst movies in the history of cinema. Not even good in a bad way, just plain awful. I like Statham but I don't want to see him in another film after that garbage. I was mad at the directors and no talent writers and producers behind it for wasting my time.

Here's one more then. I agree Duff, Jason kicks much ass, as he always does, and looks good while doing it.    O0

Jason looks great either way. I started balding my junior year of college and started to cut it short since. I just shaved it with a #1 guard last week and have been thinking about going sly, but I want to wait until I am on vacation, haha.

Why wait to look better :/O :/O :/O  Do you wait to buy new clothes when the old clothes are ratty looking?  Do you wait to take a shower?  Why wait?

So, why let the sun set today without a beautiful clean dome and the freedom it brings :/O  Get the clippers, razor and lather and clean up, keep it for 30 days, and you're going to be another happy sly guy, that we promise O0

Saintc is making some good points Rob, and I agree; why wait another day?
You're obviously ready to give it a shot, so just do it now. I'm sure you will be happy with it, as most guys are.
Once it's done you have the choice of keeping it and trying the suggested thirty days, or you can grow it back to a #1 buzz in a matter of days. You won't know til you try, so go ahead and give it a go. I'm betting you'll love it.   O0

Good luck and keep us posted. Welcome to SBG's.

Yo, I am a Jason Statham Fan. I Liked the Transporter movies, The Bank Job, & Crank 1. But Crank 2: High Voltage sucked ass! It was by far the stupidest movie I have ever seen. Anyone with me on that? LOL. For anyone who has seen Crank 2: High Voltage, tell me your oppinion on the movie.
bad plot, bad movie

Crank 2 was one of the worst movies in the history of cinema. Not even good in a bad way, just plain awful. I like Statham but I don't want to see him in another film after that garbage. I was mad at the directors and no talent writers and producers behind it for wasting my time.

I think I'm the exception, I loved it!

I had read somewhere that it sucked, then went to watch it with low expectations... And really had fun, the movie is so absurd that is too funny, and Statham's style is what I find cooler anyway... So he kicks many asses and the movie is full of crazy stuff, that is fine by me! I like the Chelios guy from Crank more than the Frank character from the Transporter series...

But I can totally understand people thinking the movie sucks hahaahah

This thing has to keep going...

Stathom is the man. Everytime I watch one of his movies, especially movies like Transporter, I immediately feel more confident. He radiates with confidence. Just the way he comes across. He would rock the sly look I would have to agree with that. He does rock his buzz though. I too like a good buzz but the newly sly look of mine I am liking as well.

Another thing, anyone know if SigmaChiRob ever did go Sly? I know its been a few months haha

Well, he was active (sort of) for three weeks, three months ago.  Too bad he just sort of dropped off the forum.

I finally saw Death Race, it was really good. Finally a remake better than the original. I didn't think it was possible.

To be honest I always feel people look better sly than horseshoe.  Jason would look great sly and yet somehow he pulls off the shoe.  I don't know whether to hate or be inspired.  Either way great actor and keep it up.
