Title: Question for the BBC guys
Post by: Razor X on November 28, 2008, 03:49:16 PM
Disadvantage?   Yeah, it keeps growing back :Xo!

amen.

Following along this line of thought, given a choice, would you guys rather have MPB so you'd have less shadow and less to shave, or would you rather retain the option to grow hair, (even if you don't have any immediate plans to do so)?

Great question.  Had to think about it.  I don't have MPB, but I am receding on top.

Not to offend anyone, you guys know I love all of you, I like mine the way it is.  My "full shadow" seems to be more uniform than a "crescent moon" around my head.  I think anyone with a shaved head looks great.

Just a personal preference for me.

I always thought this would be an easy one to answer, but I had to give a good think about it.  I love having a bald head, but at the back of my mind I know I could grow it again if I wanted (though I have no plans to do so 8)).  So I guess I'm contented to be BBC, though if I did have MPB then I wouldnt hesitate to shave it all off anyway.

On the other hand MPB would give me an excuse (if I ever needed one!) to keep it SLY! O0

I agree with Marty....I have MPB and just as soon have the rest fall out. On the other hand, if I had a FULL head of hair, I probably wouldn't shave but I have no problem with the bros who choose to do so.... O0

Having the choice is nice.

But that dayam shadow is really forbidding as far as getting a nice even tan going.  I think BaldRob has the least amount of "growable area" that I've seen 'round here.  Consequently, he's got one of the nicest lookin' eggs since it is largely even-tanned.

That and having less to shave would definitely be an advantage of MPB.

Also, having MPB would eliminate some of the arguments of "But you have a pretty full head of hair, man."

My shadow is less noticeable in the summer no doubt.  It doesn't bother me though.

First, I have to ask this question, what do you consider to be MPB?  I admit that I don't have the horseshoe.  I have lost a bit of hair in the front and a dime sized childhood bald spot that was up there has merged with my balding front.  Also when I have grown hair back, I've had comments about the thinning in the back and you can see it in videos and photos.  So I always considered that a form of MPB, although it was not slick bald.

But to answer your question, I would not minde if more hair fell out as I have never liked my curly hair as it was always hard to manage.  So as I got older, I started to do crewcuts and then when it started to fall out, I was fine with it.  Plus the suggestion by my stepmom to get plugs, drugs or a toupee solidified my decision to go sly!

I don't know the answer.  My shadow is getting worse, my hair is starting to darken( It happens in my family, they are blond until their early 20's and then it turns black).  So losing the hair for good would be nice, but on the flip side, I may want to grow it back someday.  And for now I can't see that day and am loving being sly.
