Just confirmed last night....we will be having a small Thanksgiving for just me, The Lovely Mrs. Schro, and our two kids.
As much fun as big gatherings can be, we're looking forward to family dinner.

Tow,
That's a great gesture to let the guys with families have off! O0 I hope that someone gets a plate of Turkey dinner and brings it to your dispatch office!
As for myself, I am single, but my stepbrother and his wife invite my stepmom and I over every year for Thanksgiving! It's a nice time to see their grown kids. Also I cherish every minute with my stepmom who will be 91 this year. But she doesn't look it.

We normally host Thanksgiving, but due to our recent move, are bowing out this year. My wife and I both come from large families, so we switch back and forth each year. My mother-in-law is holding it this year, because none of her 6 children (or their children) offered. I think it's time for the next generation to take over the hosting. Their houses are better equiped for the little ones than ours.
