Title: WILL U B playing host, guest, or dining out?
Post by: warhawk on November 25, 2008, 09:24:16 AM: hello fellow chrome domes: this topic was discussed yesterday at work. will U B playing host, guest, or dining out 4 thanksgiving? i'll start: the beautiful wifey & i will B playing "guests" on thanksgiving. we will B going out of town 2 auburn, alabama 4 some much needed family time with her side of family.

so... how 'bout U? host? guest? or dining out? what's your story?

We will then make a short road trip to the "Chestnut Inn" where we will meet my son-in-laws parents and we will feast on a Thanksgiving dinner there. Almost forgot, 2 of my 4 grandchildren will also be there !! O0

As much fun as big gatherings can be, we're looking forward to family dinner.

That's a great gesture to let the guys with families have off! O0 I hope that someone gets a plate of Turkey dinner and brings it to your dispatch office!

As for myself, I am single, but my stepbrother and his wife invite my stepmom and I over every year for Thanksgiving! It's a nice time to see their grown kids. Also I cherish every minute with my stepmom who will be 91 this year. But she doesn't look it.

Post by: andrew on November 25, 2008, 10:01:11 PM: We normally host Thanksgiving, but due to our recent move, are bowing out this year. My wife and I both come from large families, so we switch back and forth each year. My mother-in-law is holding it this year, because none of her 6 children (or their children) offered. I think it's time for the next generation to take over the hosting. Their houses are better equiped for the little ones than ours.
