Title: Being a Vegetarian
Post by: hammerdrill376 on November 23, 2008, 07:13:55 AM
Got a question for my SLY brothers. Are any of you vegetarians? I am considering a change in my eating style and going vegetarian for awhile. Not because I am an animal rights activist type but for health reasons. Not anything wrong with me but I am looking to the future I want to be sure my health is in good status as I grow older. If you are a vegetarian how long have you been one, why did you become one and what have been the health results for you?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

John-

Just remember, you'll have to substitute for the loss of protien that you normally get from meat.

Tofu is a good subsitute.

If I go all out with this I will probably incorporate fish.

I don't eat a lot of meat myself but don't consider myself a vegetarian. I take fish oil pills everyday for the omega 3 etc... but you do have to make sure you get the protein from some other source.
