Hi All My Sly Brothers,

During Movember (the month formerly known as November) I'm growing a Moustache. That's right I'm bringing the Mo back because I'm all about tackling men's health issues and being proactive in the fight against prostate cancer.

Did you know:

* Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer in the US with one in six American men developing the disease and more than 28,000 men dying of the disease every year.

* African American men and those with a family history of prostate cancer are twice as likely to develop the disease and should have regular annual testing starting at 45. All other men should commence testing at 50.

* Prostate cancer is 90% curable if detected and treated early.

The money raised by Movember is donated directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation which will use the funds for high-impact research to find better treatments and a cure for prostate cancer.

Way to go Lucky !!

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2000. Always good to see people helping to fight the disease !!     O0

I hope all turned out well for you, it's been 8 (almost 9) successful years since then, that is great news in itself my friend!

It's a great organization and they make it fun...

For this, or any charity I recommend you check out www.charitynavigator.org, it's a great site that does the dirty work of finding the truth on where your donation goes.

This particular one is rated 3 of 4 stars, which is excellent.

So far , so good !

I had a Gleason score of 9 so it was pretty aggresive. Had it removed 8 years ago this past August.

What can you take to prevent prostate cancer?  I heard something on the radio that if every man lived to be 110 then every man would get it.

110!? Oof... I can't imagine.

The 'Mo' is coming in nicely, but still not photo quality... hopefully by Monday I'll have a little more to show off.
