I am new here and wanted to introduce myself. I am not sly yet, but soon! Nervous about appearance, not that I am much to look at now. :) I live in Indiana, work full time, go to school, am a full time single dad, and sometimes I even get to sleep. This seems like a great board and I hope to hang out here often.

Thanks Timmj, I have been back and forth on it for a long time now. I have now hair loss problems, quite the opposite, my hair grows fast and thick. Even when I get hair cuts friends give me a hard time. I just want something new and different.
Anybody here have problems with girlfriends or wives no liking it ?

Actually my wife didn't think she would like me shaved and told me to never do it, but I did anyway and she now loves it. Hey, it doesn't matter what other people say, it's what you want and what will make you happy and confident.
Keep it shaved for at least 30 days and don't forget to post that new sly pic !!

Listen to Brkeatr bro....its all about what you like and want. For gf/wives...if they love you, they will stick with you. All the same if some kind of accident happened....and it altered your appearance....if they disagree and run....you never had them.

You sound like you're on your way to shaving, bro. I say just do it, see how you like it. Seems like you want a change, and this is definitely it.
If your hair grows so fast, at most it's a week till you have short hair again.
I'm betting you'll like it so much you'll keep it.

Hello new Sly friends. My name is Papa Don. I am a recent retiree from our local county government.
I always had to follow a very strick dress and appearance code. Very straight laced. I am also a widower of six years. Since retiring, I have had so much fun with my appearance. I always hated my curly, course hair. Got the idea to go Sly. Well--I did it about a month ago. And like you good guys have said on the internet, it IS great! Wish I had done it years ago. Well--I do believe the hair is gone forever. I can't imagine not being Sly again. Your insight on products and techniques have been great. Also, your support to us new guys-fantastic.
For the most part, everyone likes the new look. Of course there is a few naysayer. So my new motto is "to heck with them. Hope to get your input.
