I don't remember when the song exactly came out, but it sure reminds me of the summers during my high school years.  I basically HATED junior high.  But by the time High School happened, things were better.  I do have some nice memories of high school and the summers of those seasons were pretty peaceful to me.  So the mellow nature of the song is kind of like a mental rest!
