....... and a rather nice one!
I was rattling around in my shaving drawer in the vanity the other day and there in the very back corner of the drawer I spied an old Burma Shaving brush that I bought about ten years ago.
I used it for a short time back then but didn't really like the shave soaps that went with it, so I cleaned it up, put it away, and forgot about it.
So I thought what the heck......... took it in the shower with me the next day. I rubbed on some Shave Secret and then squeezed out a pea sized drop of Bald Guyz shave gel (that stuff is the greatest). I rubbed the gel around. Then I reached for the shaving brush, wet it, and then shook out the excess water. Then I went to town with the brush. All over my head, round and round..... and a great thing happened. The gel/Secret combination actually turned into sort of a very slippery cream from the agitation of the brush.
I got the best shave I've had ina good while. So I repeated the process again the last two days with the same great results.
The brush feels great on the head and it must stimulate those hairs to stand up because the shave is awesome.

This is a little weird, I saw a brush on the shelf in the shave section last weekend--don't we all look just about everytime we're in the store? I bought it, and as a sink guy, used it w/ my baby oil and Headslick. Now the one thing I haven't been totally happy w/ concerning Headslick is no lather! Boy, I have lather, loads of it using the brush. And the brush feels good too.
Glad you posted this, again this site confirms that we're not alone in the discoveries we continue to make about the great things available to those who are SLY. O0

Interesting....will have to try that out...... O0

Also...... don't rinse the brush after you lather up the first time (shaving with the grain). It will then still have enough great lather in it for the second (against the grain) pass.
So the brush actually saves on "product" use!

watz good bro mikey... I just bought a gillette normal type not such a fancy type of a brush..today.
the thing I wanted to ask u was that am not using any gel or foam or cream just using a product that has vitE, silicon conditioners, and mineral oil. I love how the silicon works its unbelievable.. Billy J, cream also has silicon, anyways my point is have u tried using the brush with say just the shave secret?..and nothing else.. does it help to lubricate the oil better than ur palms...

Easy,
Using a brush is fab to shave your noggin with, even if it's just occasional. A good brush also exfoliates your skin allowing for a very close shave.
Only thing I would say, solely using an oil with a brush may not be good idea as it'll clump the brush hairs together and in time ruining the brush. That's why it's still better to use the given oil with the lather from a shave soap/creme or lube so the brush hairs are softer and still relatively loose.

Looked for my brush this am and can't find it....I guess the wifey got tired of looking at it in the closet since I haven't used it in years.....Guess I'll have to look for a new one today when I'm out and about.....now that Mike has peaked my interest I can't go without trying it...... O0

I'm in the "going to try it" category too, thanks to Mike. I'd always eyeballed the shaving brushes, but couldn't really get enough interest going to try one. Thanks Mike, you just pushed me over the edge... I have to try it out O0

Most likely a boar hair brush you have, just wait until you try a badger hair :)
Brushes are awesome and my favorite at the moment is my badger hair brush and Kiss My Face shaving lotion, what a combo!
Do a search on ebay for 'silver tip' and you should see one for around $12.99, an excellent value for this type of badger hair.

Lucky man ur the product god!!!! ;D
Thanx for the tip Shaf.. much appriciated , but the thing am using can not be termed as oil to be exact... Its meant to be a hair fluid containing silicon suppose to detangle girly hair instantly...
anyway let's see how the brush works with it 8)

Baby Oil? How does that compare to Secret Shave? Have not tried that yet.

I haven't tried the brush with ONLY the shave oil. I probably won't because i don't shave with just oil.... I like the combination.

Well, I purchased a new brush yesterday and I have to give my friend Mike a O0 on the routine !!
I put a dab of Head Slick on the top of the noggin and started to work it in with the brush and it worked great !
I had gone back to gel for the face but decided to try the HS again . I put a dab on the wet brush and started working it into my face and again, worked great and you didn't get the headslick all over your hands and it was a lot less messy, for me anyway.
Since I shave the face with and then against the grain, I had enough left over on the brush to lather my face again and it was so much easier getting around and under the goat.
Good find Mike..... O0

Hey HeadBaldGuy, this might be a good product idea. How about an official BaldGuyz Brush?

I normally use an Edwin Jagger Best Badger brush when I shave my face at the sink. Never tried it in the shower though... I may look into this.

I was in Walgreens last night and purchased a boars hair shaving brush for $8.
I used it in my shave routine this morning.
Koz, I gotta hand it to ya, it worked wonders! :)
You DO save on HeadSlick AND you get TONS of lather! ;)
This was my closest, most comfortable shave ever! O:O
Anyone considering using a shaving brush, DO IT! 8)
Great suggestion Mike! O0

Yesterday was the first time I tried the brush with Gillette Series Shave Gel.
Just like buuckkweet, I had my most comfortable shave for the last 2 months.
Big thanks Mike...and I fully agree with buuckkweet if you are considering a
shaving brush do it!! You will love it. :) well at least I did.
