Shaved in shower just 15 minutes ago, feeling is great and I have no irritation at all,but I think I get a closer and smoother shave when shaving with gel.I'm using Gillete Fusion.
Do you shave in shower, and where do you get better shave?

Don't know....have never shaved in the shower and have never had the desire to.... ;)

Try it,that's a good way to break monotony in every-day shaving.Only problem is that water is constantly in my eyes,so I need to close em' up ???

I enjoy shaving in the shower, I won't shave anywhere else
-
Did it once, w/ baby oil and Headslick. Pretty good, didn't last as long as a sink shave w/ a spray of alcohol, but pretty good. Time was a little better. I'll do it occasionally in the future, but the sink w/ alcohol is my preference-no stubble during the business day. 8) 8) 8).

I'm a shower shaver. It's just easier for me and less mess. The wife fusses about the sink being a mess if I do that.
-
I'm a shower shaver.... can't imagine doing it at the sink............
-
We don't need no stinkin' sinks! ;D
The showers is the best place to shave... why? Because I said so that's why! :*))
-
Yes sir, Sergeant Pate, sir!
I shave both in front of the sink and in the shower. I'm leaning more towards the shower now bc it's just less cleanup and I don't need to look anymore.
-
i always shave in the shower, all that hot water realy softens the stubble, giving a much closer shave. O0 O0

14 years I was a sink shaver...
now after shaving in the shower for a year....
I'm a life time shower shaver...
if i can keep it that way! ;)
-
I have found shower shaving to be much faster and a heck of a lot easier to clean up after.

Shower shaver here..
Alright boys, i recently implemented a new water saving step to my shower shave. It's a little abnormal, but it conserves water and keeps it hot for the other peeps in your house.
1. turn on shower.. HOT. Make sure your fan is off in the bathroom, so you get some nice steam going.
2. quickly do preparation steps. Wash head and exfoliate. Rinse.
3. Abnormal part: Fill up tupperware container with your hot shower water. Turn off the shower.
Now this is basically a hybrid process between a sink and shower shave. If done right, you're bathroom is a little steamy, so you're not cold when you turn the shower off.
4. After applying your headslick (or what u wish), begin shaving, rinsing your blade in the container after each pass. I just set my one the shower floor.
5. Turn on shower, rinse.. do what you need to.
6. Cold water rinse.
It seems like an added step to have to find a plastic container, but it's working for me. I've recently moved back in with my moms and pops (before i go off and get married), so i need to be a little more conscious of how much hot water i am using. Which is typically a lot.
Obviously for the guys that need a constant stream on the head, this won't work. But hopefully this can help some guys conserve.

Do you shower shavers use a mirror? Or just go with feel?

To each his own dude! I just let the razor go in the shower stream after every three passes or so.
And by feel. It's more accurate anyways.

Yeah, I mostly do feel in the shower. I haven't found a truely fog free mirror.
-
I started shaving in the shower 2 weeks ago, since i became completely sold on the headblade sport,
-
I just recently started shaving in the shower due to the mess in the sink that takes so long to clean. I use Nivea Extreme Comfort Gel, the HeadBlade Sport, and a shaving mirror in the shower and it works great with easy clean up
:Xo!

Im going to try it tonight if theres enough hot water ( I hope), I havent tried it yet but I want to see how it feels. though O0
-
Tried it once, however; the results were bad, so never will try it again. I ended up shaving all over again afterwards. :'( :-\

I use to shave in the sink for years. Tried out the shower for a long while after joining here a few years back because of some positive notes about it. But I always felt kind of rushed in a way because I just hate wasting the water. Because I can usually get done in the shower in about 5 minutes if I'm just washing. But when I added in the shave routine it took about another 10 - 15 minutes. So for the past few months or so I've went back to the sink. You know what??? I honestly can't tell any difference. Could just be me though. But I really can't tell that it made me shave closer or caused any less irritation by shower shaving. I don't really make a big mess either. I feel more comfortable at the sink. I can take my time and not feel rushed through the shave.

I must have a smaller shower than the rest of ya all :(
Never been able to shave comfortably but I'm happy enough with the bath or sink and I can still shave by feel easily.
-
Shaf, I think you said you are in the UK. I've found that in Europe, the showers are much smaller than in America. I don't think I'd shave in a German shower.
-
O0 O0 O0 Shower shaving is the best, makes it nice and smooth
-
Shower headshaver here. By feel...mirror isn't much help (to me, at least). But the face gets shaved at the sink.
-
I once bought a fog free mirror for the shower and the stupid thing fogged up :o
-
I have shaved in the shower for years. I really don't like doing it in a sink. But I will if I have to. I have even done it inside a tent when I was going to one of those outdoor concert events and the showers were COLD!!!!!
But at home, I do it by feel in the shower. I have even done it when the power was out but there was still hot water in the tank.

I think your right dude :-[ Damn!! Funnily enough it reminds of me of an observation I had in the late 80s as a kid watching our saturday US tv fix (Roseanne, the Cosby Show, Alf!) that u guyz have bigger freezers on average than here in Europe! Maybe we've caught up abit on that front ;D
But sir... we have bigger ...... er... errrrrrm ..... I'll have to get back to ya :-\
