Title: How often do you shave your face?
Post by: SlyHigh on October 20, 2008, 02:33:09 PM: I shave the head daily. But my face only sees a razor about twice a week. I need to shave it more often, but I'm lazy and get irratation. The most often I've ever shaved my face was every other day when I was in grad school.

This morning I was thinking... where do I make the "line?" I just shaved the head down to the top of my ear. So now my stubble just goes up and stops. I'm wondering if it will look odd.

Maybe this will be the motivation to shave my face as often as I should. Or grow a full beard (did that before with a sly head and got lots of interesting comments).

The only time I haven't shaved everyday was when I had a full beard but stiill had to trim the neck line etc. I guess I got my everyday habit from my Dad and Grandfather who were everyday shavers. Also if you have a white collar job I don't think it looks professional to go without shaving everyday....but I guess I'm old school in that regard..... O0

I'm not really sure why but a few days' growth of beard can look OK on younger guys but it really doesn't work very well past a certain age.

No matter what I do to baby my face and neck, my neck looks horrible the day after shaving it so I've just been letting it grow. Will probably try every other day on the neck now since I've got my beard back.

When I was younger I grew a beard every winter and usually kept it for a few months....I have had my goat now for about 4 years and that's the longest I have had any facial hair without shaving...for some reason I have had no desire to shave it off...... O0

Same here. Sly looks better on me. Mr. Clean look? Not so much....

In the past ten years since then I've had some sort of facial hair for all but a few weeks collectively. Usually I have a goat. Sometimes I'll go for the full beard. The least amount was a soul patch I had for a little while.

The hair on my chin is very thick and harder to shave. If I shave clean, after a few days people think I'm growing a goatee. The entire goatee area grows thicker than the rest.
