A coworker came into my office a few minutes ago and commented on my nearly bald head (I did a no-guard buzz this morning). I said, "so, you're next, right?" I could tell he wants to shave. He has pretty bad MPB. His bald spot is noticeable, but his forehead goes all the way to the top of his head. He admits that his hair is too long (not a combover, but just way too long).
So I kick into gear to sieze the moment and try to convince him to go sly. He seemed very interested. I told him that the more hair you lose, the shorter it needs to be. I suggested he buzz it down a little at a time. I also told him not to fear people's reactions.
He complimented me and said it was a very sharp look that fits me well.
He said he's going in for a haircut soon, and I made sure to reiterate that it needs to be cut SHORT!

Maybe I am sly... as of 1.5 hours ago. ;)
I took a pic and tried to email it to my work account so I could upload it, but it got lost in the internet abyss. We can't have cameras at work, but if I go off-site I might snap one with my cell phone.

<------ Pic is up! Being in the photography business you would think I could do better than a cell phone, but I know you guys wouldn't want me to wait any longer.
Of course I like it, and the reactions have been good. Of course a lot of people have the look of surprise and ask why I did it. Some will say they like me with hair better (if I ask their honest opinion), but everyone says it looks good on me. The best compliment was actually one I mentioned yesterday when I was just buzzed to nothing. He isn't sly, but told me it looks awesome and not to grow my hair back.
I guess I may need to go to Introductions and make an "official" appearance.
