ive only been shaving for about 2 months so i never put anytihng on my head afterwords. i would just shave, take a shower, and then leave. now that the weathers getting colder though, my newly shaven head is starting to get dry skin and its showing. any suggestions?

Try some aloe vera gel. Keep it in the fridge. It feels great right after you shave your noggin! O0

I use Nivea extreme mosturizing balm, and I know there are a few other bros on here that use it.....you only need a little and it's good stuff !!! O0

Protect the dome...try Matte For Men lotion...and it takes away the shine too.

Like my friend Brkeatr, I also use the Nivea Extreme After Shave Balm..... I use it on the face and head. Great stuff and a little goes a long way.

I use neutrogena post shave face moisturizer. It's expensive but doesn't clog pores. I like how my skin feels after I use it.

I've been wanting to try witch hazel. couldnt find it at walgreens or rite aid. Any stores I can find it, or do i need to order it online?

Ditto here. Last bottle of Witch Hazel came from WalMart. This stuff's been around forever... It's a trip you're having such a hard time, Time2Shine.

well I use nivea for men aftershave balm very good stuff..
My question for my fellow broz is can u tag up an aftershave balm, aloe vera gel(very good stuff for a head shine) or for say a good moisturizer with sunscreen??
Or that's just gunna be to many products for the dome..?

No problem angad, I put on sunscreen all the time after using the Nivea balm, you can pretty much use whatever you want unless your noggin starts getting some bad reactions....experiment and see what works for you.... O0

I use it on my head and face. I became sold on it several years back as typical aftershave makes my neck break out like crazy. Since I have been using Nivea..no problems.

I try to find a product that has both a moisturizer and sunscreen in it to give me the effects of all three.

I usually use head lube, but have been looking for other options recently.
[By the way, I have hand sanitizer in my office, and I decided to see what it did for the dome. It felt good!! Anybody know if its bad for the cabeza? This might be my new middle of the work day ritual, since my head starts to get greazzzy.]

Hand sanitizers usually have a high alcohol content, so it might dry your scalp out pretty bad.

L'Oreal Comfort Max After Shave Balm with UVA/UVB SPF 15 Sunscreen.
Goes on well, smells nice, and feels great.
I have yet to find a better product.

I've used that for years! It's great. But in the hot summer months, I just splash witch hazel on the dome. I like the way witch hazel tightens the scalp. Only one drawback to witch hazel...it kinda sorta smells like URINE.

It's really a matter of what you prefer, and what works best for your scalp.
I usually use Witch hazel, but not everyday. My main choice is Bald Guyz moisture gel, and I will switch that up with HeadLube Matte or Glossy.
Now that Winter is coming, and with it more drier air, I think it may be time to use the Headlube's more, as they are more oil based and dont evaporate as quickly as the moisture gel.
Try experimenting to see what will give you the comfort and protection you need.
And don't forget sunscreen! O0
