hello fellow chrome domes: what were your favorite board games as a child? i'll start: my favorites were monopoly & chess. i miss playing chess. i haven't played in years (haven't met anyone that plays it). my brother & i use 2 play a lot when we were kids.
so... how 'bout U? what were your favorites? what's your story?

I was and still am a CHESS player........but I'm like Warhawk...nobody to play chess with....

Stratego were a couple favs.
I've often thought about hitting eBay and stating up a classic board game collection.
Unfortunately I already collect too much.
Maybe if I ever get a house with a warehouse attached I can go for it.

This ain't a board game...but does anyone remember the NFL game where you set up all the players ('bout an inch high on little platforms) and then flipped on the vibrating playing field to watch the players move about?

Wasn't there always one who would always go round and round in a circle?, lol.
And another would just run and then fall over. It never worked the way it was supposed to. ;D

We would spend most of our time looking for the magnetic footballs. The kicker would send those suckers anywhere, except on the field. :(

Guess chutes and ladders is what we call snakes and ladders over here?? ???
My faves were 'Haunted House' (where you dropped a marble down the chimney and activated traps to knock other players over)... A good condition version of this is now worth about $100 :o
