Title: Bald from Injury..
Post by: jcfly on September 10, 2008, 07:35:23 PM
Hi all

I'm new here.  Anyway I have a question.  When i was younger I fell and injuried a fist potion of one side of head.  Ever since then no hair have grown at that spot.  Is there anything I can do to get it growing again??  Any kinda product or anything??

Thank in advance = ).

Coming to a head-shaving forum for tips on growing hair doesn't seem like the best approach. After all, we're experts on the exact opposite!

Have you consulted with a physician?

Hi all

1st of all...welcome 2 the sly fraternity.  i'm with bootedbear on this one... why go 2 a headshaving forum that embraces baldness when U R asking some advice/info on re-growing hair.  that's like an alcoholic going 2 an AA meeting & asking them some tips on making beer. :/O

the only suggestion i have is 2 consult a physician.  do some research on rogaine.  wear a hat.  go 2 a hairclub forum & NOT  forum that embraces being bald.  we R the SLY BALD GUYS FORUM not the sly hair guys forum.  O0

I can send you one of my old rugs.
Just dye it your color, cut out the size you need, attach it with some spirt gum and..... viola.
Instant fix.

LOL!

It's still hard to believe that it's an actual product!

Welcome JCFLY!! Spend a couple bucks on a good razor and just take the rest of the hair off. Cheap, quick, and liberating!

Want to post a picture of the spot on your head?

This may sound really odd but I know a bunch of body modification pros who specialize in scarification and flesh removals, if you're not scared away yet let me say that maybe its possible that the spot can be pulled closer together so when you grow your hair out, its not nearly as noticeable.

My point is, you could talk to a plastic surgeon and see what your options are. I have no experience with hair transplants but from the guys I know who have had them, they were not worth it in the end. You should know coming to SBG everyone is going to advocate shaving it all off but if thats not your thing and you really want to do something about it, talk to someone who knows about scars, not someone who makes money off of dudes losing their hair.
