I was spent a few hours sharpening my knives a few weeks ago and when if finished with my fillet knife, I decided to see if I could shave my head with it. It worked, however, after I shaved a patch the size of a dollar bill, I decided that it was a bad idea and finished the job with my Mach 3.
I don't trust myself enough to shave my head with a straight razor or a knife.

That's a little scary. I think I'll stick to my Fusion.

Had a Barbour shave my head with a straight edge for a wedding last year... Yes the entire time I was afraid he was gonna scalp me, but it was a VERY smooth finish. Oddley enough, the "pop" from each hair getting cut was somewhat relaxing.

A barber-shave like that is something I'd like to try someday.
-
I use to have this done all the time, and it is to me very relaxing. Going into the barber shop and getting the whole treatment done. Hot towels, and the works. But like I have posted before, no barber shop in around my area will do it......

I had the straight razor shave two months ago and it was so awesome that i now get a straight razor shave every week.
-
If your going to try it yourself....be careful.....takes experience to do that properly.... :-\

I'll just stick with my trusty HeadBlade/Mach 3 combo. One slip of a straight razor, and it would be blood, fussin, and cussin.

Same problem here, slyinglide; would love to do the barbershop thing; but no one here will do it. Small town?
